At that time, these beings were also born from eggs of light, and the light was as bright as seven men's heights, so they walked in the sky, and their food was the essence of the elements, and they were naked without clothes, so there were also good ponds for washing away dirt. The name of the place is called the accumulation of warmth and moisture, illuminated by light. At this time, lifespan also reached one hundred thousand years, food was the fruit of trees, clothes were good tree leaves, and when one person was born, one tree appeared. The reproductive organs of males and females had not yet appeared. One was happy to see the other, and felt pleasure when touched. After that, merit gradually decreased, and lifespan also reached eighty thousand years. The name of the place is called desire arising, appearing in the womb. These beings began to manifest afflictions, and due to the influence of karma, the reproductive organs of males and females began to appear. One looked at the other, touched and laughed, and desire arose, and the number of those born from the womb also increased. At this time, the light was naturally emitted, food and clothing were used from trees, and there were also wish-fulfilling cows and intelligent horses. Because of the desire for darkness to dissipate, the moon also rose like the sun, and it was called the moon because it was said, "This is its companion." At that time, the moon also appeared completely at night, full of warmth. Most beings prayed that it would become cool, so it was no longer warm, but became cool. Again, some could not bear the suffering because it was too cold, and said, "May it not be colder than this." Then the moon began to wax and wane. At that time, uncultivated, self-growing rice grew in the rice fields, growing during the day when harvested during the day, and growing during the night when harvested during the night. People used this as food and enjoyed it. Their bodies were full of radiance and strength, and they indulged in the desire of sensory union. Some were ashamed of throwing sticks, clods, and stones at each other, so they shielded themselves with trees and stones, etc. Because nectar-like rain fell, they covered it with thatch, and the earliest houses were called thatched round houses. After that, because the rice fields were stored, the rice decreased and no longer grew. An arrogant person said, "From now on, I am in charge." Then everyone imitated him, and the fields of those with little merit could not sustain themselves due to poverty, so they stole from others, and all the afflictions of desire, hatred, ignorance, pride, and jealousy arose, and due to the influence of karma, this also declined. During this time, a virtuous person divided the remaining rice into portions and distributed it. Everyone was satisfied with their share, so they were elected as king and respected by the masses.
