In that majestic direction, the sound of the sacred Dharma arises like a string of bells, and in that place, upon a vast Dharma throne, Amitabha (无量光佛, Infinite Light Buddha) as the lord of that pure land, with the great miraculous deeds of emanations, for the ocean-like beings of the three lineages (声闻, Śrāvaka; 缘觉, Pratyekabuddha; 菩萨, Bodhisattva), bestows a profound and vast Dharma feast appropriate to each, never ceasing. In that pure land, there are rivers of eight qualities of water, and numerous lakes, from the beautiful and pleasing jewel lotuses born from these, various rays of light emanate, forming a great mass of light that shines in all directions. At the tip of the rays of light, countless images of the Sugata's (如来, Tathāgata) body appear, joyfully playing, with boundless activities, liberating sentient beings from the ocean of samsara. From time to time, a gentle breeze carrying fragrant scents descends showers of flowers and blows in all directions, all beings born in that pure land are born miraculously in the calyx of lotus flowers, their bodies possessing a uniform golden hue, and having innate clairvoyance. Possessing all the conducive conditions for the Dharma, without any obstacles, all wishes are fulfilled as desired, and especially upon being born there, immediately from their palms emanate clouds of offerings, creating a source of merit that pleases the Buddhas and their retinues, and experiencing the feast of the true Dharma. Moreover, there are goddesses who are emanations of the Sugata, perfect in youthful beauty, as well as various kinds of delightful and beautiful birds, as the splendor of the vessel, there are pools of nectar, lakes of eight qualities of water, and rivers and trees covered with lotus flowers, from these things, the sound of the Dharma arises, which they are pleased to hear, involuntarily inspiring a sense of liberation, and if they do not wish to hear, then they are silent. Everything follows their wishes, demonstrating various activities. In that pure land, whether from the perspective of the vessel or the sentient beings, it is impossible for there to be any condition that causes afflictions, the environment constantly inspires faith in the Buddhas and their retinues, the pursuit of attaining the state of liberation, and with steadfast courage, accumulating vast resources for attaining unsurpassed enlightenment, and compassion for all beings. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With compassion that desires liberation, and renunciation that turns the mind away from the suffering of samsara, transform pure Dharma practices into causes that naturally increase vast merit. Wholeheartedly transform your aspirations, and in the realm of pure appearance, clearly visualize without confusion all the Buddhas and their retinues, as well as the splendor of the pure land. Strive to practice this method, guided by unwavering faith, generating a strong desire, thinking, 'How wonderful it would be if I could personally see such a pure land.' From the depths of your heart, generate an unshakeable conviction, and with joy, learn and clearly visualize all the aspects of the pure land. Secondly, accumulate the causes and conditions for rebirth in the pure land through various means. To dispel doubts about whether you will be reborn in Sukhavati (Tibetan: bde chen zhing, the great bliss pureland), with tireless diligence and a strong desire, accumulate merit through the following ways: construct Tathagata (Tibetan: de bzhin gshegs pa, thus-gone one) Buddha images and many scriptures such as the 'Array of Light Sutra', and prostrate before them, offering water, flowers, and other material offerings; perform virtuous deeds with your body; recite the names of the Tathagatas, chant special dharani mantras, read and recite scriptures such as the 'Array of Light Sutra', and explain their meaning to others; perform virtuous deeds with your speech; visualize the Buddhas and their retinues and the splendor of the pure land, and with unwavering faith and a strong desire for rebirth, cut off afflictions such as attachment and aversion, and meaningless thoughts. Do not let distraction disturb your mind, and in clear and undiminished awareness, focus your mind on the image of the pure land. Through unwavering concentration, strive to attain the ability to freely abide in stable samadhi (Tibetan: ting nge 'dzin, concentration), perform virtuous deeds with your mind. Furthermore, the purpose of accumulating these merits is not to pursue the enjoyment of perfect pleasures in the pure land in the future, but to increase pure merit through various means, so as to quickly perfect the two accumulations of abandonment and realization, accumulating merit with this supreme purpose.
