Studied Guhyasamaja, Manjuvajra, and yogas. Briefly received Dharma teachings from Lo chen (Great Translator). Then went to India and met the great accomplished Amoghavajra the Younger, receiving the empowerment and rituals of Yamantaka's 'Three Terrifying Faces of the Enemy', the generation stage of Yamantaka, the practice of the Black Enemy, the practice of Acharya Deva Akara Chanda for the Six-Faced One (Gdong drug), and listened to the practice of Lalita Vajra for Vajrabhairava. Heard excellent explanations of mantras from the three tantras that did not rely on commentaries and propagated them in Tibet. Furthermore, Lama Nyo Lotsawa went to India and said to Pandita Bhalinta Acarya: 'I am old and frail and cannot learn many teachings. The Tibetan patrons are generous, and I am very determined. Please grant me one secret teaching that encompasses the essence of all Sutras and Tantras.' The Pandita granted Guhyasamaja Manjuvajra. Then, the translator said: 'My monastery has only one root tree, so I need a Dharma protector to guard it.' The Pandita granted Trakshé. The translator said: 'Lama, this Dharma protector seems too violent, so please grant me a wrathful deity to subdue him.' The Pandita granted Vajrabhairava. Although there are many other traditions, this is the Vajrabhairava empowerment transmitted from Nyin Ra Lotsawa. What will be explained here are the history of the lineage of gurus and the actual teachings to be explained, which are divided into two parts. The first is the Buddha Vajrabhairava: transmitted to the Wisdom Dakini (Yeshe Khandroma), then to Lalita Vajra, then to Amogha Vajra, then to Yeshe Jungne Bebpa (Wisdom Source Hidden One), then to Padma Vajra, then to Dipamkara or Balpo Thugje Chenpo (Nepalese Great Compassionate One), then to Ra Lotsawa. To briefly recount Ra Lotsawa's history: his homeland was in Gnya'nam Snangyul, and he was named Ra Dorje Drakpa. Initially, Ra Lotsawa had a great feud with his neighbors, so he went to Nepal and requested Yamantaka's 'Three Terrifying Faces of the Enemy' from Lama Bharo Chagdrum, and after becoming proficient, he returned to take revenge. At that time, Rong Ben Chenpo heard of his fame and invited him to Rong, where he resided in the secluded Red Rock of Rongyul (Rongyul Wendenmar) and propagated the Dharma cycles of Yamantaka. His activities were inconceivable. Then transmitted to Ra Chorab, Ra Yeshe Senge, Ra Bumzang, Lokya Ngawang Drakpa, Lhongton Sherab Pal, Drogon Phagpa, and so on, in successive order. The second part is the mandala for empowerment arising from such a lineage, which can be a colored sand mandala, a painted mandala, or a similar mandala. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regarding the benefits of receiving empowerment (kyilkhor du wangkurwa denyi thobpai penyon ni), Sakya Pandita (Sakyapandita) said: 'Therefore, individuals with superior faculties are liberated by empowerment itself.' As he stated, individuals with superior faculties, such as King Indrabodhi (Indrabodhi), are said to attain liberation immediately after receiving empowerment. In the Guhyasamaja Tantra (Guhyasamaja Tantra), it is also said: 'If the empowerment is genuine and blessed, empowerments will be received in lifetime after lifetime. Therefore, from the seventh lifetime onwards, even without practice, accomplishments will be attained.' As stated, even if one is not a supreme individual, if one constantly familiarizes oneself with empowerment, then within seven or sixteen lifetimes, supreme accomplishments will be achieved. Padmasambhava (Padmasambhava) said in the Fifth Vow (Damtsig Nga Pa): 'If there are no transgressions, accomplishments will be attained after sixteen lifetimes.' This means that even if one is unable to diligently practice the path after receiving empowerment, but is not tainted by fundamental transgressions, then supreme accomplishments will be achieved after sixteen lifetimes. What are the disadvantages of not receiving such a beneficial empowerment? If one does not receive empowerment, even if one meditates on the profound meaning of the generation stage and completion stage, one will not attain accomplishments. Even if one can attain some minor worldly accomplishments, one will fall into the lower realms in the future. As stated in the Mahamudra Tilaka Tantra (Mahamudra Tilaka Tantra): 'Without empowerment, there are no accomplishments, just as there is no oil even if one squeezes sand. If someone arrogantly teaches the tantras and oral instructions without receiving empowerment, both the guru and the disciple, immediately after death, even if they have attained accomplishments, will be reborn in hell. Therefore, with all effort, request empowerment from the lama.' Therefore, disciples who receive empowerment also need a certain degree of pride. Sakya Pandita (Sakyapandita) said: 'A wise person should take one or three, five or seven, twenty to twenty-five disciples who are not in pairs.' As he said, a wise person should take one to twenty-five disciples who are not in pairs. Regarding the method of empowerment, there are three parts: the preparation stage, the main stage, and the subsequent stage. First, in the preparation stage, there are two aspects: the preparations required by the guru and the procedures to be done by the disciple. The nine aspects of the preparations required by the guru have been completed. The preparations to be done by the disciple, which are 'the summary of what the disciple should do in the preparation stage,' etc., consist of fourteen aspects: taking a bath and offering a mandala, listening to the Dharma, praying, clearing obstacles, giving vows, blessing the three places, making offerings, giving a toothpick, giving a handful of water, tying a protective cord, and giving kusha grass. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
