Invited with the sound of cymbals. The obstructing forces are dispelled by the mantra of the four-faced deity, such as 'Oṃ Sumba Ni Sumba Hūṃ Hūṃ Phaṭ'. Offerings and ablutions are made with 'Oṃ Sarva Tathāgata Śrī Cakra', which precedes the Argha Pratīccha Ye Svāhā, and with the mantras of the six goddesses at the time of the assembly field. Jaḥ Hūṃ Vaṃ Hoḥ, absorbed into inseparability. Accompanied by the embrace mudra, 'Oṃ Yoga Śuddhaḥ Sarva Dharmā Yoga Śuddho 'Haṃ' is recited three times. Again, light radiates from one's own heart, inviting the five families of empowerment deities with their retinue, Pheṃ Vajra samājaḥ. Offering as before, 'I beseech all the Tathāgatas to bestow empowerment upon me', the five families grant empowerment. The Bodhisattvas recite auspicious verses, the consorts make offerings, the wrathful deities dispel obstructing forces, and the four Yoginis and the fifth Varahi hold white vases filled with bodhicitta and bestow empowerment. 'Just as at the time of birth, the gods bathed the Buddha, with pure divine water, so too I bathe the body of the Tathāgata. Oṃ Sarva Tathāgata Abhiṣeka Ta Samaya Śrī Hūṃ', speaking these words and bestowing empowerment from the crown of the head with the water of the vase, filling the entire body. All impurities are cleansed, and from the remaining water that flows upwards, the chief father is adorned with Vajrasattva, the mother with Akṣobhya, the Dakini with Vairocana, Lama with Amoghasiddhi, Khaṇḍarohī with Amitābha, and the Formed One with Ratnasambhava.
