So, if one thinks that one has actually become a Buddha, one still needs to practice because one has not completely separated from all obscurations. As it says in the Ornament for Clear Realization: "Buddhahood itself is attainment." Therefore, although it is first said that Buddhahood is attained, just as it is said that the stains of the remaining grounds must be purified, it should be understood here as well. The Vajra says: "The form of the mudra of enlightenment, with marks and signs, etc., even if the form is manifest, that peace itself is not seen." Fourth, one becomes a Buddha by abandoning and perfecting realization. The Vajra says: "By perfecting power from the previous lineage, purifying the stains as explained, the three wisdoms of Buddhahood, are spontaneously accomplished vidyadharas." Second, there are four ways to explain the specific nature: the birth of transformation, the way of gathering without outflows, the way of perfecting the pāramitās, and the way of ultimate perfection. The first is that those vidyadharas, for the benefit of beings, emanate as the chief of humans, the wheel-turning king, and the chief of gods, Brahma and Indra, etc., and as the birth of Great Brahma, thereby doing what is appropriate to tame. Some consider that one emanates as a human through maturation, as a god through life empowerment, as Brahma through the great mudra, and as the play of spontaneous accomplishment, and there is no contradiction. Second, one gathers through maturation, the accumulation path, the joining path, and the ultimate path; one gathers the learning grounds below the path of seeing with life empowerment; one gathers the wisdom of the noble ones with the great mudra, the grounds of special realization of the path of seeing and meditation; and one gathers the ground of Buddhahood with spontaneous accomplishment. Although all of these are gathered in one direction with distinction, it is certain that one will see them there. For example, it is like a fish caught by a hook, even though it is in the water, it is brought to the shore. That is, from the aspect of the wisdom of the noble ones, it is called the great mudra, and from the aspect of no birth and death, it is called life empowerment. Furthermore, there are also three ways of explaining: entering the ground, abiding on the ground, and ripening on the ground. Some consider that the first is life empowerment, the mudra is the eighth ground, and spontaneous accomplishment is the tenth ground, but this is not understanding the intent of illusion. Because at that time, the five bodies are spontaneously perfected from the age of sixteen and above, and it is said that "Buddhahood is attained without abandoning the body," this contradicts saying that spontaneous accomplishment is Buddhahood, and the nature of life empowerment and the mudra does not seem to be severed.

Thirdly, the gradual practitioner sequentially trains in the ten perfections and demonstrates the increase of the ten grounds. The sudden practitioner quickly attains completion. That is, without any clinging to all phenomena, the perfection of generosity, along with its result, is spontaneously accomplished without effort. Similarly, in equanimity, without the stain of reasoning and without acceptance or rejection, is morality. Without confusion and with the complete aspect of wisdom, is patience. Without decline and with actions becoming an accumulation, is diligence. Although the senses enter into objects, they do not waver from equanimity and abide in the nature of reality, which is meditation. By realizing the nature as it is, transcending clinging to things and characteristics, is wisdom. Even the self transforms into benefiting others, which is skillful means. Pure fields and realms of enjoyment become perfect, which is aspiration. Not being overcome by opposing forces is strength. Realizing the meaning as it is, is wisdom. By the perfections completely fulfilling the ten grounds, one becomes a tenth-ground being and quickly attains completion without needing to train for a long time. As for qualities, such as seeing a hundred Buddhas in a single instant on the first ground, one manifests twelve hundred thousand qualities. The Avatamsaka Sutra says: "One sees a hundred samadhis and a hundred Buddhas, shakes a hundred fields, illuminates everywhere, goes everywhere, matures a hundred sentient beings, establishes them in the Dharma gate, enters a hundred eons, manifests a hundred bodies, and also manifests a hundred complete retinues of the Buddha's children. Above that, with aspiration, one possesses great strength, without limit." Likewise, on the second ground, there are twelve thousand; on the third ground, twelve hundred thousand; on the fourth ground, twelve kotis; on the fifth ground, twelve thousand kotis; on the sixth ground, twelve laksha kotis; on the seventh ground, twelve hundred thousand laksha kotis; on the eighth ground, equal to the number of dust particles in one great thousand world; on the ninth ground, equal to the number of dust particles of one hundred thousand; on the tenth ground, equal to an inexpressible number, one can see Buddhas, hear the Dharma, shake Buddha fields, illuminate with light, travel in those fields, mature sentient beings, and
