Although claiming to be extremely virtuous, they protect the trivial but disregard the important. When possessions are exhausted, they only care about the present, lacking liberation and renunciation, which makes me feel disheartened. Although claiming to be good, they are inconsistent internally and externally, and prioritize the eight worldly concerns. Hating others but unable to tame their own minds, like a rough whetstone, which makes me feel disheartened. Although claiming to be ordained, they do not study or contemplate, but compete for the best possessions. They do not know what to accept or reject, lack the three trainings, and are disturbed by the five poisons, which makes me feel disheartened. Although claiming to have entered the Dharma, they do not fear good or evil, and are distracted by mistaken actions. They lack faith and have little wisdom, yet they are self-righteous. Without Dharma, they go empty, which makes me feel disheartened. Although claiming to have entered the teachings, they have no discipline, only hold onto symbols, and seek enjoyment. Although ordained, they are not stained by the Dharma, like a wild duck in a pond, which makes me feel disheartened. Although claiming to accumulate merit, they give biased offerings, desiring fame and being arrogant. Their actions are mixed with sin, always expecting returns. They are always filled with "I did it," which makes me feel disheartened. Although claiming to be wealthy, they are bound by stinginess and have no generosity. They do not use it themselves, nor do they give it to others. At the time of death, they become evil-doers, which makes me feel disheartened. Although claiming that the monastery is a place full of Dharma, their actions are unrelated to Dharma, like a secular town. They are constantly distracted, noisy, and suffering never ceases. Attachment, hatred, and fighting are constant, which makes me feel disheartened. There are many faults like these. Even if described for eons, they cannot all be exhausted. Being disgusted by such situations, one should practice the pure Dharma in a secluded place. In the story of being disgusted with the times, it tells of being disgusted with the ordinary state, which is the second story. Thus, ordinary people have many faults and errors. Because they have not put effort into listening and contemplating, they do not understand the reasons, and making mistakes is understandable. But knowingly violating them and not taking them seriously makes me feel disheartened. Although claiming to know what to accept and reject, they do not fear cause and effect, and freely enjoy pleasures. They deceive others with tricks, and their five poisons are heavier than anyone else's. Their afflictions and desires are too strong, which makes me feel disheartened. Although claiming to be able to explain the Dharma to others, they
