Sometimes, rest the supportless awareness in its own nature. Abide in the state of non-grasping at the appearance of objects. This is the intention of the non-conceptual Dharmakaya. Relying on the key point, it arises naturally from within. Sometimes, by holding the breath outwards and staring intently at earth, stones, mountains, and so on, non-conceptuality arises. Sometimes, by holding the breath inwards and focusing the mind on the seed-syllables of the four chakras, or on light, or on any deity image, accomplishment is attained. Sometimes, by placing the supportless awareness openly in non-grasping, the uninterrupted, equal wisdom arises. Conclusion: The enhancement of bliss, clarity, and non-thought in general, accumulating merit, purifying obscurations, practicing generation and completion stages, and especially the profound Guru Yoga, are praised as supreme. This is the ultimate essential instruction. May fortunate ones who desire liberation accept it willingly. Thus, by performing virtuous actions, in order to realize non-virtue, accumulation and purification are profound as the enhancement of the path. As stated in the Sutra of Making Many Buddhas: "Those who accumulate merit will have their wishes fulfilled." The third meaning is the explanation of the realization attained through the unerring path of reality. The realization that arises from meditating in this way is of one taste, without any difference. The meaning of the three aspects converging into one is like the earth, like different streams merging into the ocean. Whichever of the three methods of bliss, clarity, and non-thought is practiced, when the nature of mind is unborn and dissolves into the nature of space, when the activity of the mind is completely pacified and dissolves, it is the Bodhicitta that is free from the elaborations of existence and non-existence. The sun of the clear light of nature arises from within. This is the realization of steadfast clarity, without change, the nature of the Sugata-garbha, equal to space. Just as coming from different directions, they converge into one place, even though meditating from the separate methods of bliss, clarity, and non-thought, the essence of realization is the naked, clear, and empty awareness merging into one. Its essence is the awareness that is unestablished in anything, clear, uninterrupted, luminous, and pure. Self-awareness is self-illuminating without any obscuration. This is always present, but when the Guru's blessing enters, it becomes the object of awareness. The essence of this is self-luminous without an object, profoundly clear without depending on conditions, primordially clear without suddenly arising. This meaning is called the wisdom of clear light, as stated in the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra: Mind has no mind.

It is said that the nature of mind is luminosity. How is that luminosity? At that time, with one-pointed, clear, and unpolluted mind, in the vast ocean of meditative concentration of calm abiding and insight, free from bias and without grasping, the image is without inherent existence. The essence of realizing all phenomena is the union of two. Appearances are like illusions, and there is no clinging to emptiness there. The indivisible union, the vast expanse of mind, is the luminosity that arises from the essential point and dawns from within. Although images appear in a clear ocean, they are not formed from anything other than water. The images, rain, and water are neither one nor many. Similarly, appearances are without any grasping. The essence of the purity of mind is that although various appearances arise, the objects of appearance do not contaminate the mind. The mind does not grasp the objects of appearance. Although appearances arise to the sense consciousnesses, they are not defiled by grasping. Therefore, illusion is clear in its own place. When the mind is one-pointed in its own state of calm abiding, and the self-illuminating, clear insight are of one essence, at the time when objects appear, because the mind does not grasp emptiness, it is called luminosity without inherent existence. Also, in the Pramāṇaviniścaya it says: 'Having gathered the mind from all things, the inner self is unwavering. Even when abiding, the eyes see forms, and the mind that sees is born of the senses.' It is like that. From whose power does it arise? It is the blessing of the guru, the self-arisen wisdom. It is seen when it transcends words and thoughts. Seeing such a state at any time is without the three times, without past or future distinctions. It is the Prajñāpāramitā, it is the Madhyamaka, it pacifies elaboration and suffering, it is the Mahāmudrā, it is the essential nature of the Dharma, the Great Perfection, it is the exhaustion of the primordial, the very nature of reality. Luminosity, the nature of mind, is self-arisen wisdom. Although many names are given, the essence of the meaning is one. The Dharma nature transcends speech and thought, it is Bodhicitta, Samsara and Nirvana are non-dual, like the sky. Through the blessing of the noble guru, one sees the essence of the luminosity of the mind. In the Dohā it says: 'Whatever the guru says enters the heart, it is like seeing a treasure in the palm of one's hand.' It is like that. Also, when one sees beyond speech, thought, and expression, like the sky, at that time, one realizes that one has transcended acceptance and rejection without any distinction between before and after, and is liberated from all bonds. In the Abhisamayālaṅkāra it says: 'Here there is nothing to be abandoned, nor is there anything to be established.'
