This is indeed reasonable. If one does not understand the nature of the two truths, one cannot understand the profound suchness. As stated in the Root Wisdom: "Those who do not know the distinction between these two truths do not understand the profound reality of the Buddha's teachings." The benefit of understanding is as follows: "Those who rely on these two truths to accumulate the collections of enlightenment will cross from the ocean of existence to the perfection of wisdom." All phenomena, appearing without existence, are reasonable because they dwell in the play of emptiness. Anything other than that is unreasonable. As previously stated: "Because of emptiness, everything is possible. If there is no emptiness, nothing is possible." It is also said: "Emptiness makes everything possible, while non-emptiness makes nothing possible." In short, impure and deluded phenomena of relative truth, like dreams, are untrue, deceptive, used to entice children, and are merely illusory, lacking essence and graspable characteristics. Pure, the nature of reality, the luminosity of wisdom, the state of profound peace and freedom from elaboration, is immutable, spontaneously accomplished, and the inconceivable nature of reality. From the relative truth, one accumulates merit like dreams and illusions. From the ultimate truth, one meditates on the meaning of wisdom, the nature of reality like the sky. As a result, one manifests the two sacred forms: the form body and the dharma body. With these, the first treasury, the classification of the two truths, has been explained. Now, we will explain the nature of all phenomena as dependent arising. As stated in the Root Wisdom: "There is no phenomenon that is not dependently arisen. Therefore, there is no phenomenon that is not empty." Therefore, here we explain: the nature of dependent arising, the dependent arising of samsara, and the dependent arising of nirvana. First, the nature of phenomena of appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana, or its essence, has not come from anywhere, has not gone anywhere, and does not abide anywhere. Because the nature of reality depends on the subject, the subject also appears like arising and ceasing, but in reality, from the very beginning, there is no elaboration of arising, ceasing, and abiding.

It is devoid of all extremes, and is said to be the very nature of the Middle Way. It says in that very text: Whatever arises dependently, is said to be emptiness. It is designated in dependence, and that is the Middle Way. It says. The Lankavatara Sutra says: That which is free from permanence and annihilation, whatever is free from the extremes of existence and non-existence, will be fully realized as the Middle Way. That very path of the Middle Way, is taught by me and all the Buddhas. It says. Like the impure appearances and the consciousness that grasps them, all appear like hairs falling in the vision of someone with cataracts, but they have never existed from that very moment. It says in that very text: There is no self-nature, and no consciousness. There is no entity, and no basis. These are like illusions, and are designated by children with wrong knowledge. Just as tangled hairs are seen by someone with cataracts, likewise, these thoughts of entities are falsely designated by foolish children. The three realms are merely designations. It says. Like the illusory appearances of a dream, which are not present either when falling asleep or when waking up, but appear in between. Likewise, these illusory appearances of the six realms are not present in the essence realm of the mind itself, which is pure from the beginning, and are also not present when the illusion is completely purified at the time of Buddhahood, but appear in between, appearing even though they do not exist, and therefore are not established as the three: arising, ceasing, and abiding. Therefore, since the essence has no arising or ceasing, there is no change from the past to the present and to the future. The latter part of the Kunje Gyalpo Tantra says: Because there is no change in the realm of the future. It says. Since illusory appearances are merely names, and are not established in reality like flowers in the sky and the child of a barren woman, liberation is attained by realizing their self-nature. It also says: There is no arising or ceasing in the world, it is very much like a flower in the sky. With your wisdom and compassion, you do not perceive existence or non-existence. All phenomena are like illusions, abandon mind and consciousness. Abandon permanence and annihilation of the world. It says. Furthermore, all of these, the eight consciousnesses that rely on the alaya, the basis of various inner habitual patterns, and the illusory appearances of habitual patterns that appear as external objects, are all completely imputed, adventitious, non-existent in reality, appearing even though they do not exist, ignorance, and the mistaken thoughts of grasping at a self.
