Homage to the three protectors! The Treasury says: All Buddhas' merits and, The Dharmakaya's activities for the benefit of beings, Are equal, not by lifespan, lineage, or body size. Just like that. The intended hidden meaning of the translation is: In order to eliminate the fault of thinking that this Dharma is easy to understand and therefore inferior to other Dharmas, those that are shown to be extremely difficult to understand. For example, the Collection of Special Topics says: Father and mother are to be killed, The king and the two who hold pure vows, And when the city is destroyed together, That person becomes pure. Just like that. Among them, the two that create in samsara are craving and grasping, which are the parents. The alaya consciousness is the basis or foundation for various habits, so it is the king. Brahmins who view the destructive aggregates, and ascetics who view discipline and asceticism as supreme, these two are the ones who hold pure vows. The internal sense bases, together with the grasped and the grasper, the eight consciousness aggregates are the retinue together with the city. Destroying them is purity, which is becoming a Buddha. Among them, the hidden meaning and the implicit meaning, to some extent, have the same essence, but there are also differences. The difference between these two is that the translator Lodan Sherab said: The meaning that the speaker thinks of, other than the meaning that the listener understands from the speaker's words, is the implicit meaning, and the meaning that the speaker thinks of, which the listener also understands, is the hidden meaning. In the commentary on the Compendium of Vehicles, it says: The implicit meaning is only what is thought in the mind, and it does not acknowledge dependence on what is taken by others. The hidden meaning is dependent on what is taken by others. Know that these two are not contradictory. Among them, for some situations, it is said to have that part, even if it does not depend on what is taken by others, it is the implicit meaning. Similarly, when others ask questions, etc., because the meaning is not completely exhausted, it still remains on the basis of the implicit meaning, so it is called the implicit meaning. In order to benefit others, relying slightly on some aspects, and showing it in accordance with his appearance, this is called the hidden meaning. The speaker also spoke, and the listener also understood it, and after entering, it becomes the basis for fully understanding other meanings. And, because it is in a state of not becoming false, it is the hidden meaning. These are the two keys to viewing the scriptures.

It is like this. Therefore, since there are various situations of sound, meaning, intention, and necessary action, it is very important to know how to distinguish the sutras and tantras in this way. Second, regarding the classification of the object to be measured, the treasury of the sacred Dharma, it is divided into two parts. First, the explanation of the two truths. In the Root Wisdom Treatise, it says: "The Dharma taught by the Buddhas relies entirely on two truths: the conventional truth of the world and the truth of the ultimate meaning." And in the Sutra of Meeting Father and Son, it says: "The truth of the wise of the world is these two. Do not listen to others, but see for yourself. That is the conventional truth and the ultimate truth. There is no third truth." That is what it says. That is to say, merely taking the nature of what is called "Dharma" as the basis for distinction, it is divided into two: the conventional truth of appearance and the ultimate truth of existence. Appearance is also divided into two: delusion and non-delusion. The first is all that appears in the nature of speech, thought, and expression, illusory appearance, illusory clinging, and illusory consciousness during the time of sentient beings. That is, deception, untruth, change, and suffering, etc. Because it is the object of the deluded mind, and it is established there through speech, thought, and expression, the Buddha who is thought and expressed by sentient beings through their minds is also established through the blueprint of their minds. Therefore, because it does not touch reality, it is said to be delusion. For the appearance and awareness of that time, it is also temporarily divided into correct conventional and incorrect conventional depending on whether it appears as true or false. That is, it is in accordance with appearance, able to function, arising from causes, free from establishment, and appearing consistent, that is, earth, water, fire, wind, internally contained with one's own consciousness, is the correct conventional. Appearing but unable to function, such as the appearance of two moons, is the incorrect conventional. As it is said in the Treatise on Two Truths: "Appearing similar but functioning differently, because of the ability and inability to function, a distinction is also made between correct and incorrect conventional." That is what it says. These two are the same when measured in essence, that is, they are the same in arising from habitual delusion, they are the same in appearing to each sense organ, and they temporarily function in the deluded appearance, and are also the same as the object of sight of eye consciousness, etc. Therefore, they are without self-nature. The non-deluded
