Conventional truth has two aspects: From the perspective of the result, the unerring path-basis wisdom and qualities change and ascend, thus being impermanent. However, in relation to progressing towards the ground of reality, it is called unerring. In the commentary on the Uttaratantra, it is said, "All path truths are conditioned. All conditioned things are deceptive." This is said from the aspect of changing and needing to ascend, not that it is the same kind of deception as other conditioned things. The unerring ones who have attained the result are the Buddha's form bodies, along with their wisdom, residing in Akanishta. These are unchanging, permanent, spontaneously accomplished, a treasure of precious qualities, and possess complete dominion with great manifestations such as mandalas. Although called conventional from the aspect of appearance, they are inseparable from the Dharmakaya and therefore unchanging, abiding like the sky. These will be explained in detail below. The Nirmanakaya is accumulated from the appearances of those to be tamed, and also appears spontaneously through the compassion of the Buddha. Although it appears to the minds of those to be tamed as if it changes, in reality it is not established as changing. Just as the reflection of the moon in water appears to change due to the container, but because the moon itself is not established as having inherent existence, it does not change. Similarly, although it appears as a body to tame beings, it is not established as having inherent existence, because the three bodies are inseparable, their essence is one, and the Dharmakaya is unchanging. Just as the moon in the sky itself is the same essence as the reflection of the moon in water, and therefore does not change, similarly, the Nirmanakaya also appears spontaneously from the state of the Sambhogakaya, but in reality it is not established, and therefore does not change. To the minds of those to be tamed, it appears to change, and therefore is not established. Therefore, all pure and impure appearances are considered to be included in the conventional truth. Ultimate truth is the nature of reality as it is. As it says in the Root Wisdom, "Not known from others, peaceful, unelaborated by elaborations, without conceptual thought, without difference, that is the nature of Suchness." Therefore, all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are without inherent existence from the very beginning, beyond the realm of all thought and expression, not established by minds that are realized or unrealized, and without the acceptance of one or many.

Furthermore, it says in that very text: The teaching of the Buddhas, the protectors of the world, has become nectar; it is neither one nor different, neither annihilation nor permanence. Thus it is said. Although all phenomena of existence, samsara and nirvana, are labeled as good and bad, different in the face of the mind, all are originally pure, possessing the nature of space. Therefore, saying "true," "untrue," "both," "neither," and "extremely true" are beyond the realm of mental fabrication. As it says in that very text: All is true, not true; true, not the nature of not true; not true, not not true; this is what the Buddha taught. Thus it is said. In terms of intrinsic nature, it transcends all assertions, because its essence has never been established in any object of perception. Even if one asserts, "It is like this," it will fall into the extremes of permanence and annihilation, such as clinging to self. As it says in the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning: If there is an assertion of things, then attachment and hatred will arise; holding unpleasant and unbearable views, disputes arising from that will occur. Thus it is said. Moreover, because there is no commitment in the intrinsic nature, it is said that there is no object of assertion, no asserter, and no object of perception, therefore it is without fault. As it says in the Refutation of Disputes: If I had any commitments, then I would have this fault; since I have no commitments, I am only without fault. Thus it is said. Thus, the reality or nature of all phenomena is profound and peaceful, free from all extremes of elaboration, therefore there is no commitment or assertion, which is called the originally pure realm. Although there is no difference in essence, if one differentiates by mentally superimposing, there are "birth is itself unborn" and so on. Although emptiness is mentally fabricated, it is not liberated from the elaboration of the unborn, which is called the ultimate truth of conceptual elaboration, and the ultimate truth that is non-conceptual elaboration, which is liberated from all elaborations such as birth and unbirth. As it says in the Two Truths: Preventing birth and so on is also considered to be in accordance with reality; for that which pacifies all elaborations of birth and cessation, the term ultimate truth is used. Thus it is said. Here, if we clearly differentiate according to the oral instructions, we only use a small portion of the realm of phenomena as the basis for differentiation. These aspects of appearance are like illusions, mirages, moon in water, and so on, because they have the nature of appearing but not existing, therefore they are the conventional.
