Abandonment is self-liberation. Thus it is said. In its instructions, the method of the mountain king standing firm is like seeing all four continents at once from the top of Mount Meru in the center. Similarly, when viewed with the view of Dzogchen, the meaning of all nine vehicles is seen simultaneously in one's own system, while other vehicles do not see the meaning of Dzogchen. From the perspective of immutability, it is also like the mountain king standing firm. Whatever appears, whatever arises, is left as it is, without alteration or fabrication, thus perfecting the intention of all vehicles. The Six Spaces Tantra says: In the countable mind of self, each vehicle arises individually, not as arbitrary speculation, but perfected as the great secret essence. Thus it is said. That is, the intention dawns as the complete liberation of the three realms, and when that yogi who has realized Dzogchen observes, he realizes that there is nothing among all the phenomena of samsara and nirvana that is not liberated, and thus it is called the liberation of the six realms from their own ground. The Six Spaces Tantra says: In the mind of self without acceptance or rejection, the appearance of impartial self-liberation is the intention of vast expanse, taught by me, Samantabhadra. Thus it is said. At that time, the afflictions are purified in their own place, like clouds dissipating in the sky or turbidity in water naturally clearing. Initially, there was no delusion; now, there is no abiding in delusion; later, delusion is impossible. This arises from such a key point. That very tantra says: In the mind of self, the stainless appearance of non-leakage, the defilement of delusion is purified in its own place. Thus it is said. At this time, that person is named 'abandoning the Dharma' because there is no Dharma that needs to be intentionally focused on. Fourth, in the yoga of continuously maintaining the result, there are also five aspects: result, means, intention, purification, and individual. The result is not reverting to the cause, like the fruit of a hardwood tree. Moreover, at this time, the king has taken his seat and does not change, just as a royal lineage takes the throne through empowerment from the crown of the head and does not change, so too, awareness itself takes its own ground. The populace is subdued and does not change, just as a king wages war on his subjects and subdues them, and from then on there is no change, so too, the basis for the arising of the five sense consciousnesses is exhausted, and therefore there is no name of samsara. The ministers are imprisoned and do not change, like the policies of a king

Just as if one were to seize a beloved person, even the king would have to listen, when the flow of the mind's consciousness ceases, wisdom attains freedom. These examples show that wisdom is single and unchanging. If that fruit is given a name, it is called the fruit of self-nature purity, it is not like something produced by effort or exertion, but because the meaning of being pure from the beginning manifests, it is merely named as a fruit. Regarding its pith instructions, the method of settling the wisdom is: by settling the wisdom on whatever appears, appearance and clinging are naturally liberated. By settling on whatever arises, clinging is naturally liberated. Grasping and grasper are naturally liberated, this is called the reality that is free from extremes. In the Six Spaces it says: In the mind-essence without thought, the appearance free from objective conditions, is the reality of great self-purification, thus has Samantabhadra taught. In the mind-essence without thought, by the unapprehended, unimpeded self-appearance, one knows the face of one's own clear object, thus has Samantabhadra taught. At this time, karma and afflictions and the stains of arising do not manifestly abide in the three doors, therefore it is called the intention of the three realms being primordially pure. In that same tantra it says: In the mind-essence without pain, the appearance free from self-grasping, is the intention of great self-abiding, thus has Samantabhadra taught. At this time, afflictions, like ripples in water or the knot of a snake, go to self-liberation and self-dissolution, since arising and liberation are without before or after, the nature of reality arises as the state of self-purification. In the Six Spaces it says: In the mind-essence where the six aggregates appear, the aggregates of thought are completely pure. In the mind-essence where sound and words appear, names and terms are completely pure. In the mind-essence where self appears, the conditions of the four elements are self-purified. In the mind-essence where grasping and grasper appear, the self-grasping of bondage is completely pure. Thus it says. At this time, that person is called one who has transcended dharma, because they are free from all grasping of samsara and nirvana, faults and virtues. These are the stages of practice shown for those with minds focused on objects, for the sake of those who delight in the elaboration of meaning. Now, for those with minds of self-appearing wisdom, the stages of practice are shown, divided into two: common
