It is key not to let the movement of the mouth cease. When speaking, put the knowledge into the ears, and it is very important not to let the expression of the mouth diminish. During meditation of the mind, it is key that the mind does not stray from the object of focus and that the breath is gentle. These are profound keys for experiences that arise suddenly. Fourth, the intention of the Sugata has two aspects: essence and division. The essence is meditation that transcends time limits, like the sky. From Rangshar it says: The intention of the Tathagata is to be known as the expanse of the sky. The divisions are: by leaving it naturally without adjustment, the arising sensations cease without an antidote; without practice, meditation is attained by natural disposition. From the Union of Sun and Moon it says: The Sugata's intention has two aspects: by leaving it unadjusted, the arising sensations cease; by looking without practice, warmth is attained. Such meditation is called the meditation of the union of day and night. The day is a part of nirvana, and the night is a part of samsara. At this time, the meditation experience is that there is nothing bright during the day and nothing unclear during the night, but it disappears clearly. Therefore, in the instructions, the method of settling the ocean is to meditate without blinking or moving. That is because the nature of the eye is water, so settling the ocean clearly is settling. Whatever you meditate on, keep your eyes as they are; if you don't meditate, don't meditate. Once you start meditating, it is key to look without blinking. For example, in the ocean, the images of the moon, stars, and so on appear clearly, but the ocean is not affected. Although they appear as the object of appearance, they cannot be grasped. Similarly, although these external appearances appear in front of the eyes in their own place, awareness should not be lost in the appearance. Without letting the appearance steal awareness, the awareness that is clear in its own place and without conceptual thought shines, and remaining without wavering or effort is called meditation like the empty sky. From the Wordless it says: From the beginning, unmade, naturally arising settling, not changed by appearance, not adjusted by mind, remaining in the sky, it is shown as the intention itself. The wisdom of the Dharmakaya, abandoning all thoughts, without wavering or effort, is the intention of meditation. If you do not grasp the objects of focus, like the moon and stars appearing in the ocean, the unceasing clarity of non-grasping, the way of abiding in intention is just like that.
