Whoever holds onto the (heart) pulse, they block the doors of the senses. Whoever meditates on the letter I at the tip of the nose, gathers the elements back to their place. Whoever meditates on the support of the body, its own light, becomes familiar with the bardo realm. Whoever throws the mind into the sky, becomes familiar with emptiness. Whoever holds the mind in the ear, enjoys sounds as they please. Whoever holds the mind in the heart, their thoughts naturally clear. Whoever abides in emptiness, cuts off attachment to things. Whoever meditates intensely on emptiness, all memories become empty at once. Whoever joins the mind with non-thought, reverses the attachment to samsara. If one holds the mind on the five elements, then the minds of the body arise. Whoever meditates on non-thinking wisdom, cuts off attachment to signs. Whoever meditates on the bliss of dual entry, transforms desire into the path. Whoever transforms the intermediate space into the path, also gains power over the mind. Thus it is said. The determination of the key points of their places and practice, in the decisive texts it says: With the twenty-one stages of mind-holding, first, to place in the location, second, to separate body and mind, third, to see the nature of reality. At this time, the key points of body, speech, and mind, should be well guided by those with yoga. The moving wind is like a horse, mixing, throwing, and gathering its key points, if relied upon by the wise, the mind's thoughts will be cut off. Thus it is said. Second, identifying the nature of the chapter, among those, here seven should be learned. One with faith should first please the lama, then sit in a secluded place on a comfortable cushion, sit in the lotus position, and hold the mind on the sign of the white syllable AH (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: ā, Chinese literal meaning: A): At the tip of one's nose, visualize a white syllable AH (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: ā, Chinese literal meaning: A), when the breath goes out, that AH (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: ā, Chinese literal meaning: A) also extends outward. When the breath comes in, that AH (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: ā, Chinese literal meaning: A) comes inward, appearing white and round at the tip of the nose, without the mind wandering, prolong this state and meditate. If the body feels hot, then think of that AH (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: आ, Sanskrit Romanization: ā, Chinese literal meaning: A) as a cold touch. If it feels cold, then think of it as a hot touch. By doing this, an experience of the unborn, free from thought, will arise. If one is not pleased with this, then hold the mind on the fierce syllable PHAT (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat) that dispels obstacles: The body as before, slightly relax awareness, and by reciting a fierce PHAT (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat), awareness becomes clear, and a state of non-thought will appear.

If this scope is regarded as wisdom and practiced day and night, the experience of experiencing the purity of one's own nature will arise. If you are not satisfied with this, then focus your mind on the laughter of the wrathful deity, relax your body as before, and utter a strong and short "Ha" sound, and clear and non-conceptual wisdom will arise. Furthermore, whatever arises from mental disturbance due to afflictions, or physical and mental discomfort, can be eliminated by this method. At this time, an experience of being separated from clinging to the nature of reality will arise. If you are not satisfied with this, then focus your mind on the Asura's fighting: Sit on the top of a mountain, a rock, or the top of a house, sit in a squatting position, and first slowly rotate your head. Then rotate as fast as you can. Shake your body as well, and practice for three or four days, and soon the external appearances will turn into red blood, then into bright yellow, then into mixed blue, then into dull gray, then into fresh and bright, and then the external appearances will disappear, and there will be no existence of any entity. After that, the experience of the seen objects being liberated in their own place will not and cannot arise. At this time, one should consume food that is beneficial to the wind element and focus one's awareness on the (Tibetan: རཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Rang) at the navel. If you are not satisfied with this, then focus your mind on chasing away discursive thoughts with (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum), mix the long, intoned (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) with the breath, and sometimes make it short, so that a samadhi arises in which the mind does not conceptualize anything, and the experience of discursive thoughts appearing as the nature of reality arises. If you are not satisfied with this, then focus your mind on emptiness in stages: Use your own wisdom to break down this body into its individual parts, and dismantle it with various names. Even if it is just the head, break down its skin, hair, flesh, ears, nose, tongue, etc. into dust particles, and analyze it, just as the name head does not exist. By dismantling everything, you will find nothing, be amazed, and the body will suddenly disappear, thus generating the experience of non-conceptual wisdom, and meditate in that state. If you are not satisfied with this, then focus your mind on the sudden realization of emptiness: Focus your awareness on the emptiness of what appears before your eyes, and once you are proficient, first there is appearance, second there is emptiness, and third, innate wisdom naturally abides in the undifferentiated nature of reality. Thus, during the meditation that relies on the body, the body
