Like the conduct of a young child, abandon the long-held attachment to illusion. Like the conduct of a drum, guide with words that accord with the world. Like the conduct of an elephant, completely reverse the battlefields of samsara. Like the conduct of a deer, abandon the notions of friend and foe. Like the conduct of a prostitute, be content with desires and set time limits. Like the conduct of a female mule, do not propagate the seeds of samsara. Like the conduct of a Brahmin, abandon the enjoyment and food of others. Like the conduct of a hero, distinguish the boundaries of samsara and nirvana. Like the conduct of a spring, keep the support of mindfulness in its own place. Like the conduct of brandishing a spear in the sky, apply penetrating wisdom to things. Like the conduct of wind in space, abandon the thoughts of grasper and grasped. Like the conduct of a garuda, cut off cliffs with its wings. Like the conduct of a mountain, practice on the unchanging, self-pure ground. Like the conduct of the Great Vehicle, practice without turning back from appearances. Thus it is said. Second, of these twenty-one, here we learn seven. First, the conduct of conforming to all doors, like a bee searching for a hive, is: through hearing, distinguish dharma from non-dharma; through contemplation, suppress afflictions; through meditation, uproot objects from their source. As it says in the tantra itself: There are three kinds of wisdom: the wisdom of hearing cuts off external additions; the wisdom of contemplation cuts off internal additions; and the wisdom of meditation cuts off secret additions. As an aid to this, without hesitation, just as a bird cuts off human additions before entering its nest and then comes without error, so first cut off additions through hearing, and then enter into practice without hesitation in what you believe in. As an aid to this, the conduct of a deer, which is not the practice of everyone, is: just as a wounded deer flees from people because of its wound and goes to a cave or mountaintop, so too, the yogi, because of aversion to samsara, fears people and therefore dwells in cemeteries and other places where people do not go. As an aid to this, the conduct of a dumb person

Furthermore, one should cut off speech and not speak to anyone. By doing so, memory will become rigid, and behavior resembling madness will occur: at that time, irrelevant words will spontaneously arise, like a madman. During this time, indiscriminate behavior, like that of dogs and pigs, will arise, consuming food indiscriminately, whether good or bad. When these six are perfected, behavior like that of an invincible lion will arise: just as a lion has no fear or hesitation towards anything, this yogi will also be free from the harm of appearances and will be able to completely control themselves. If these behaviors are named, they are called the behaviors of controlling appearances: being able to convert those who do not believe, being able to revive the dead, being able to accomplish miraculous powers, and with wisdom dawning as the nature of reality, being able to control the elements of appearance, such as earth, water, fire, and wind. The key instruction here is the method of staring at appearances: by training in the parts of phenomena, the images will be completely purified, arising from staring and releasing into whatever appears. At this time, the view is called the establishment of the basis of existence and appearance: all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, even without learning, will arise in the mind like a flood. When this happens, afflictions are transformed into wisdom: the appearance of knowledge as affliction and the appearance as wisdom are not different, but are liberated into one wisdom, so that afflictions cannot harm, like cloth dyed with colors. In the "String of Pearls" it says: The aggregates, elements, and sources are liberated into the lineage and the lord of the lineage. It is not that one must meditate based on behavior, but that liberation comes through this itself, so it is shown as a condition for a person's path to be complete and without error. Secondly, there are also five yogas performed during meditation sessions: meditation combining day and night, the key instruction for which is the method of ocean gazing, at that time the key is the view of establishing the basis of existence and appearance, the result of which is the increase of afflictions, and that is the time to abide in the Dharma. The first has four aspects: the contemplation of a Bodhisattva, the meditation of profound secret mantras, the holding of the minds of gods and humans, and the view of the Sugata. The first is from the Prasangika: the nature descends.
