Having the mind focused on flowing within, pacifying discursive thoughts, and the continuum of mind is the conventional truth. If further analyzed, each moment is indivisible, which is the ultimate truth. In this state, meditate on the meaning of selflessness. Then practice the Dharma mindfulness, which is to meditate on the Dharma encompassed by formations and consciousness, the selflessness of all natures, both internal and external, impermanence, illusion-like qualities, and so on. That is, form, feeling, perception, etc., are meditated upon as the insubstantiality of body, feeling, and mind. Formations and consciousness are meditated upon through Dharma mindfulness. When the afflictions of manifest clinging to the Dharmas encompassed by the five aggregates are averted in various ways, the coarse objects to be abandoned are overcome, and one enters the higher path. . As stated in the Abhidharmakosha, "Body, feeling, mind, and Dharmas, revolve in two aspects." Therefore, both the general and specific characteristics should each be meditated upon: the body is impure, feelings are painful, the mind is impermanent, and the Dharma has the nature of selflessness. Then, when the middling accumulation path arises, in order to prevent unwholesome things that have not arisen from arising, to restrain those that have arisen, to generate wholesome things that have not arisen, and to increase those that have arisen, one exerts effort and meditates diligently. Therefore, in order to completely abandon all unwholesome aspects, it is called right abandonment. Then, when the great accumulation path arises, one meditates on the four samadhis of aspiration, effort, mind, and investigation. That is, in order, one cultivates and meditates with focused aspiration on a virtuous object, whether conventional or ultimate, and sustains it continuously with great effort in that state, focuses the mind on one point, and meditates through the means of thoroughly distinguishing the meaning through investigation. From this, various meditative minds arise accordingly, and in order to accomplish the means or limbs of miraculous powers, it is called the feet of miraculous powers. Then, the path of joining arises in the continuum. That is, in both the heat and peak stages, one meditates on the five faculties. That is, faith,

Diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, and wisdom are the five roots. That is, cultivating with faith in the sixteen aspects of the Four Noble Truths, in a manner of conviction. With diligence, joy arises; with mindfulness, one does not forget the distinctions of the objects; with samadhi, the mind is held single-pointedly on the object; with wisdom, one cultivates in a manner of distinguishing the objects. That is, as stated in the Abhidharmakosha: 'It is the domain of the Four Noble Truths, from the warmth stage of the sixteen aspects, the peak stage is also the same.' What are the sixteen? Impermanence, suffering, emptiness, selflessness, these are the four aspects of the truth of suffering. Cause, arising, production, the nature of condition, these are the four aspects of the truth of origin. Selflessness, peace, exquisiteness, isolation, these are the four aspects of the truth of cessation. Path, reason, practice, deliverance, these are the four aspects of the truth of the path. Then, in forbearance and the highest worldly dharma, one cultivates the five powers, that is, from the perspective of the ability to destroy afflictions being particularly enhanced, it is called power, and the method of cultivation is the same as the roots. The method of cultivating the aspects of the Four Noble Truths is that from there, forbearance also arises, as 'the two are also the same' says, in a temporary situation, the four aspects of the truth of suffering of the desire realm are combined into one group with the aspects of the truth of suffering of the two upper realms, adding up to eight, and similarly, the three of the truth of origin, the truth of cessation, and the truth of the path also each have eight, for a total of thirty-two aspects to cultivate, or adding up the seven parts between the warmth stage, the peak stage, and the lower forbearance stage, counting, there are two hundred and twenty-four aspects. In the middle forbearance stage, from above the thirty-two, after abandoning the four aspects of the truth of the path, one cultivates twenty-eight. Then, after abandoning the four aspects of the truth of the path of the desire realm, one cultivates twenty-four. Again, after abandoning the four aspects of the truth of cessation of the two upper realms, one cultivates twenty. Then, after abandoning the four aspects of the truth of cessation of the desire realm, one cultivates sixteen. Again, after abandoning the four aspects of the truth of origin of the upper realm, one cultivates twelve. Then, after abandoning the four aspects of the truth of origin of the desire realm, one cultivates eight. Again, after abandoning the four aspects of the truth of suffering of the upper realm, one cultivates four. Thus, when cultivating the four aspects of the truth of suffering of the desire realm, there are two categories of individuals
