Those who do not understand the profound reality of the flourishing teachings. So it is said. If one knows it well, the merits are immeasurable. In the two truths, those who know the difference between the two truths are not confused about the teachings of the Able One. After they have accumulated all those merits, they will go to the perfect other shore. So it is said. This principle is the ultimate peak of the view of all Hetuvidya vehicles. From the Treasury of Precious Tenets, which clarifies the meaning of all vehicles, the third chapter, which explains the tenets of each vehicle, is complete. Thus, having understood the respective ways of abiding of each vehicle, the specific ways of traversing their paths should be explained. However, the path of the outsiders falls into the extreme of permanence and annihilation, and therefore there is no liberation. Therefore, it is not necessary to differentiate here, and it is sufficient to elaborate. The path of the inner teachings, with the distinction of the three vehicles, should be understood as the path of the Hearers' Vehicle, the path of the Solitary Buddhas' Vehicle, and the path of the Bodhisattvas' Vehicle. Among them, the first, the path of the Hearers' Vehicle, is for those who are weary of the suffering of samsara and seek liberation for their own benefit. The way to enter the path is as follows: The Treasury says: Those who have morality, learning, and thought, should diligently apply themselves to meditation. Thus, first, one tames one's mind with any of the seven types of Pratimoksha vows. The seven are the two parents of a Bhikshu, the two parents of a Shramanera, the Shikshamana, which are the five of the monastic side, and the two parents of an Upasaka, which are the vows of the lay side, totaling seven. The Upavasatha vow is taken occasionally, so it is not established as a basis for merit. Thus, one who abides in morality becomes skilled in the aggregates, elements, sources, twelve links of dependent origination, what is and is not, and faculties. Then one enters the path of meditation, mainly taking and abandoning through the gate of the four truths. Among them, the truth of suffering is like a disease, the pain caused by external or internal causes to the three doors of body, speech, and mind, the various unpleasant diseases and harms, and what they represent, the aggregates of the time of samsara, including the aggregates of close grasping, are diligently engaged in abandoning them, thus entering into the knowledge of self-nature. The origin is like the cause of disease, which is the formation.

, engaging in abandoning the three poisons, etc., which are the cause of suffering, like the appearance of a painter." "The Truth of Cessation is like the happiness of being free from illness, striving to hear the supreme fruit of joy of being free from the abyss of samsara or epidemic. The Truth of the Path is like medicine, engaging in cultivation in order to be liberated from the disease of suffering. As it is said in the Uttaratantra: 'Disease is to be known, the cause of disease is to be abandoned, and medicine is to be relied upon in order to attain happiness. Suffering, its cause, its cessation, and the path, are to be known, abandoned, realized, and cultivated.' It is the same as that." "They also cultivate the previous four paths with seven sections. As it is said in the Abhidharmakosha: 'The seven sections are in order: the first practitioner, the factors of ascertainment, cultivation, and seeing, well distinguished.' Thus, in the small accumulation path, cultivate the four mindfulnesses; in the medium, cultivate the four right abandonments; in the large, cultivate the four legs of miraculous power. In the heat and peak of the path of joining, cultivate the five faculties; in the forbearance and supreme dharma, cultivate the five powers. In the path of seeing, cultivate the seven branches of enlightenment; in the path of cultivation, cultivate the eightfold noble path. The first is the beginning of all paths, the small accumulation path. The first practitioner who enters that path cultivates mindfulness of the body as an antidote to attachment to one's own and others' bodies. That is also an antidote to general attachment, cultivating one's own and others' bodies and all appearances as skeletons, in order to prevent attachment. As it is said in the Abhidharmakosha: 'Skeleton for all those with attachment.' Like that. To counteract specific attachments, cultivate the eight thoughts of becoming swollen, becoming blood-red, becoming worm-eaten, etc. When free from attachment, sometimes cultivate mindfulness of the body by observing the body, like a water tree, etc. Then cultivate mindfulness of feelings. For the three feelings of pleasure, pain, and neither pleasure nor pain, cultivate the thought of suffering and the thought of being insubstantial like a water tree. As the Sutra says: 'Whatever is felt, all of that should be known as suffering.' Like that. Then cultivate mindfulness of the mind. That also with the aspect of calm abiding and insight. Breath
