Therefore, since they believe that there are no karmic results and no unseen beings, they are called Non-existents; since they pursue pleasure and beauty in this life, they are called Pleasure-seekers; since they regard the sun as a god, they are called Sun-worshippers; since they regard the moon as a god, they are called Moon-worshippers; since they regard Indra as a god, they are called Indra-worshippers; since they regard Jupiter as a teacher, they are called Jupiter-worshippers. Although the ways in which their common desires are fulfilled differ according to the gods, they claim that the tenets of their sect are the same. Therefore, their claims are: seven points, namely, that the four elements are considered ultimate; that body and mind are considered one entity; that there is no past or future life; that there is no cause and effect of karma; that there is no liberation and no omniscience; that there are no unseen beings; and that later inference is not a valid means of knowledge. The first point is: the four elements, earth, water, fire, and wind, are ultimately existent." "The mind is the nature of the body's energy, appearing from clear matter, arising simultaneously with the formation of the body, so it is the substance of the body. Because the mind changes according to the body's pleasure and pain, and desire and so on increase or decrease according to the body's flourishing or decline, and because the mind feels pain when struck by a weapon. There is no past or future life because body and mind are one entity, and the two arise simultaneously, there is no habit of names, and there is no return. Moreover, since the body decomposes into particles, the mind does not arise elsewhere.""They prove that there is no coming from other worlds in these two ways."(1)Because many minds arise due to the body's causes, and because one knows nothing immediately after birth, so one needs to learn later. If there were a previous life, one would not need to learn." "Just as one does not forget previous knowledge when waking up. Some people do not return after death, so there is no past or future life. Moreover, the mind does not exist before or after the body, because the body and substance are inseparable, like wine and the taste of wine. The taste of wine also arises together with the grain during brewing, but it is not transferred from before the wine and then enters into it. Furthermore, the pot is either a being or the pot itself that has not come from another world, so it is both, because it is not a lotus, like a wall. That is, the aspect of not being a lotus is established on the pot, and there is a pot next to the wall.

Whatever is posited is established as pervading at any time. Since a pot contradicts the pot itself as a rival, there is no choice other than a person. Furthermore, if a heap of flesh as large as Mount Meru is piled up, and it rains there for seven days, then only a heap of worms of the same size as the heap of flesh will be born. Then, do the minds of so many sentient beings die or come from elsewhere at the same time? No. Because there is no previous world, there is no familiarity with its terms, therefore, children must first be taught to express themselves. There is also no future world, because the old people who have died do not come back. Therefore, all embodied beings do not transmigrate from another birth, but like mushrooms in a meadow, bodies are suddenly formed from the union of parents, and at that time, minds are formed from the clear particles. Moreover, at the time of death, the elements become old and their power wanes, like a lamp dying when the oil is exhausted. The four elements dissolve into their respective essences, and the mind vanishes into the realm of space, so no one takes another future birth. As the secret words of Drogkharwa say: Until you die, enjoy yourself as you please. After death, it is not a place for enjoyment. The body becomes like ashes, how could there be rebirth? So it is said. This statement was quoted by the ascetic Avalokiteśvara in the opponent's argument. There is also no karma and result, because the results of actions such as shortening life by killing and beautifying appearance by cultivating loving-kindness are not seen in this life, and do not exist in the next life. This principle of cause and effect was falsely fabricated by the Buddhists in order to provide for the livelihood of monks who shave their heads. The Sutra on the Essence of Views says: There is no birth, old age, sickness, or death, and there is no previous or future world, or the other shore. There is no merit or non-merit, no fruit born of action, no cause or agent. For the sake of gain, this was spoken by the son of Shakya, do not go with faith. So it is said. The sacrifices mentioned in the Vedas are also of no benefit, the Vedas themselves say: In order to achieve the livelihood of some inferior people, deceitful and fastidious people gather together and do these things. Some people dye clothes and so on. They slaughter livestock, and those who have been deceived eat the essential parts. They give horns, hooves, hides, etc. to the Chandalas. Mothers without homes and those with sacrificial tree bark.
