At Sa-la, a princess named Sudharma renounced the world. On an island in the western ocean strewn with golden sand, she erected a hut of reeds. In a dream while perfectly absorbed in meditation, she dreamt that a white man was bestowing empowerment upon her with a jeweled vase. After ten months, a boy endowed with auspicious marks was born from her right side. The mother was frightened and said, 'This child without a father, who else could it be other than a demon of this world? This must be an offering from a heretic, a great sin!' She spoke such verses and then threw the child into a pit of ashes. After three days, she saw the earth shaking and bright rays of light. When she looked, the child was unharmed. The gods and kings of the sages saw the offerings and, amazed, raised him. From the age of seven, he showed the manner of knowing the Dharma spontaneously. He went to Oddiyana and debated with the panditas and was victorious. The king was pleased that he was renowned as an emanation of the Buddha and gave him the name Garab Dorje (Joyful Vajra). The mother gave him the name Ro-lang Tal-dok (Corpse-arising Ash-color), the local people gave him the name Ro-lang Dewa (Corpse-arising Bliss), and the panditas gave him the name Prajñābhava. He had four names. This was because he was born from the desire of the bodies of the four births when he was previously listening to the Dharma from the twelve emanations. Then, he went to the mountain Sun Radiantly Illuminating in the north, where he remained in meditative absorption for thirty-two years. Then, he went to the summit of the mountain piled with Malaya jewels. There, he wrote down the Tripitaka and precious tantras that he had previously heard from the Buddhas, and especially the sixty-four hundred thousand categories of the Dharma of the Great Perfection of Naturalness that were in his mind. He stayed in a cave where the dakinis do not appear. Then, he went to the Cool Grove charnel ground northeast of Bodhgaya and taught the Dharma to the dakinis there. At that time, in the city called Second Rank west of Bodhgaya, there lived a great scholar named Jampal Shenyen (Manjushri Mitra), son of the Brahmin Lekden Tonpa (Good Endowment Teacher) and Nangwa Dronma (Illuminating Light), who was skilled in all fields of knowledge. Manjushri prophesied to him, saying, 'Hey! Son of lineage, if you wish to attain Buddhahood in one lifetime, go to the Cool Grove charnel ground!' He heard these words.

As soon as he arrived, he met the master and listened to the Dharma until he was seventy-five years old. Then, in the northeast of that cemetery, at the source of the Danti River, he manifested the appearance of the incarnate body passing into nirvana. He uttered a lament of grief: Alas, Kyi Hud, alas, Klong! When the light of the Teacher's lamp is extinguished, who will dispel the darkness of the world? As he said this, from the center of a mass of light in the sky, the right hand from the elbow down extended and threw a precious golden container filled to the brim with fingernails. It fell into the hands of Master Manjushri Mitra, and when he opened it, he attained the same realization as the master simply by seeing the testament that struck the essential points in three sentences. Then, he divided the sixty-four hundred thousand spontaneously perfect Great Perfection teachings into three sections: the Mind Section, the Space Section, and the Instruction Section. The Instruction Section was further divided into the Explanatory Tradition and the Oral Tradition, and he annotated the Oral Tradition. Since he could not find a vessel to entrust with the Explanatory Tradition, he hid the texts under a rock vajra cross placed northeast of Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya). To the west of Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya), he remained in contemplation in the great charnel ground of Sosa Ling. At that time, in a place called Shwa Khyams Ling in the land of China, the son of a virtuous householder with faith and a mother named Nangsal Khyenma, the great master Shri Singha, was a wise man endowed with the qualities of learning and study. Hearing the prophecy of Sosa Ling as before, he came with great compassion. He met Master Manjushri Mitra and listened to the Dharma for twenty-five years. Then, at the top of the stupa in that very charnel ground, the master passed away without remainder, and as before, he uttered a lament of grief. From the center of a mass of light in the sky, something called the Sixth Meditation Experience descended as before, and upon seeing it, his realization became the same. Then, Shri Singha took out the texts from the northeast of Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya). He went to the connected rock caves under the Bodhi tree in China. He divided the Great Perfection Thigle cycle into four parts: outer, inner, secret, and unsurpassed. He hid the first three cycles as treasures for the sake of those with elaboration. From holding the latter, the dakini prophesied. Then, he hid it in the Lhakhang of Tashi Tri Go, the charnel ground.
