Yenjing. Those who have the eye of wisdom to show the difficult points, who are skilled in practice and accomplishment, know how to show the four limbs of approach and accomplishment, and who have thoroughly examined the activities of the four actions. Those who are skilled in realization and view understand the meaning of the general view, the nine vehicles in order, and the individual view, the nature of reality is directly seen. Those who are skilled in meditation and experience abandon distractions and busyness, and warmth signs and wisdom arise. Abandoning activities means the ordinary activities of this life. Reaching the limit of the meaning of reality means meditating on the meaning of direct awareness and obtaining the warmth level. Not being confused about the meaning of desire means being able to answer the questions of the disciples and being able to bestow the Dharma according to their wishes in accordance with the order of their minds. Other than that, the lama should be abandoned, because he leads the disciples to the wrong path. Showing that the one who leads astray should be abandoned is from the Tantra of Secret Wisdom: The vajra without vows is like conjoined twins falling off a cliff, both self and others go to the vajra's mouth. Also, from Rangshar: An unexamined teacher is the demon of the disciple. So it is. The characteristics of a disciple are: From the same text: Possessing faith, compassion, and generosity, broad-minded, eager to learn, possessing wisdom, diligent and striving, desiring enlightenment and liberation, said to be the sign of a vessel possessing secrets. Thus, those with great faith and generosity, great wisdom and learning, great pure vision and devotion, great perseverance and diligence, turning away from samsara and not thinking of non-Dharma, possessing the karmic connections of previous practice, are suitable vessels for Dzogchen. Also, those who are broad-minded and eager to learn, with little grasping and conceptualization, not seeing hardship as suffering, with little action and effort, great compassion and gentleness, good-natured and calm, the Dharma of self-existing Dzogchen, and great respect for the lama. Other than that, it should be abandoned, from Rangshar: An unexamined disciple is the enemy of the teacher. One who breaks vows suffers in hell. So it is. A disciple with good fortune is extremely precious. Secondly, the Dharma to be taken has two aspects: the empowerment that ripens and the instructions that liberate. The first is: that worthy disciple, to that qualified lama, a feast of offerings.

, and offer mandalas of gold, etc. I would like to request a single empowerment and instruction of the Secret Essence Heart Essence three or five years from now, please grant it. When making this request, the lama will examine whether or not one is qualified. After saying this, he examines the student's faith, reverence, diligence, and other qualities as a vessel, and the lama requests the dakinis to prophesy whether or not he is a vessel for the Dharma. He examines by making this request. Then, when the time is right, he completes the meaning instruction of the seven mind trainings and then bestows empowerment. As it says in 'Perfect Spontaneity': 'With elaboration and without elaboration, Utterly without elaboration and completely without elaboration. Thus, even with the four empowerments, The faithful will ripen their own being.' According to this, there is no contradiction in bestowing these four in succession with a day's interval, but it is very good if they are separated by months and years. That is, the empowerment with elaboration is bestowed relying on the mandala powder, and its vows and commitments are given. Then, the empowerment without elaboration is bestowed relying on the mandala and vase, and the instructions and transmissions of the channels and winds are given. Then, the empowerment utterly without elaboration is bestowed relying on symbols, and the oral instructions of the meaning of the symbols are shown. Then, the empowerment completely without elaboration is bestowed relying on one's own mind, and the key points of manifest body and speech are shown. Secondly, the instructions for liberation include the preliminary training of the key points of body, speech, and mind. The main part is the introduction to the nature of mind. Afterwards, it is the teaching of how the four visions arise. Finally, there are the oral instructions on the four supports. The first is to learn the sound and meaning of the four elements, and to learn the practice of distinguishing between samsara and nirvana. These two may or may not have been done beforehand. The preliminary practices of body, speech, and mind, along with complete subjugation, should be practiced skillfully. As it says in 'Transformation': 'The vajra full lotus posture is well established, Training the body is beneficial to the mind. Speech is uttering (hūṃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum), Through increasing, training, and seeking the path of gentleness, Thus speech training is beneficial to the mind. Where does the mind initially come from, Where does it dwell in the middle, And where does it go in the end? Thus, by examining and analyzing the three, Mind training knows the nature of mind.' And, 'Then one should completely subjugate.' By doing so, the sins of body, speech, and mind are purified, obstacles are pacified, and there is the necessity of liberation in the three kayas. Secondly, the main part
