By settling the mind, the meaning that cannot be expressed arises in the continuum. Truly settling the mind, the awareness abiding in its own nature, is the common necessity. The supreme necessity is: the body touching the nirmanakaya, speech touching the sambhogakaya, and mind touching the dharmakaya, there is such a necessity. Thus, for the preliminaries, the best is seven days, the intermediate is five or three days, and the least should not be less than one day each, because the realization of the actual practice depends on the proficiency of the preliminaries. Secondly, the actual practice is divided into two: one is to recognize the mind as primordially empty, rootless, and originally pure, and to practice it through "cutting through"; the other is to recognize wisdom as luminous, spontaneously accomplished, and the abiding ground, and to practice it through "leaping over." The first is further divided into three, first is to directly point out the awareness in its own place: the present awareness, free from artificiality, fabrication, and antidotes, the essence transcends the object of designation, the awareness is not established by concepts, this empty and clear self-arisen wisdom is the great state beyond memory and thought, this is the intention of the dharmakaya, originally pure. As the "Sound Tantra" says: "At the end of the great purity of self-nature, all phenomena abide in themselves. Because appearance and awareness, the nature of reality are united, primordial liberation, naturally abiding is the ultimate." The intention transcends conceptual thought, and appearances are also pure in themselves, the boundary between emptiness and existence is liberated, movement ceases, there is no differentiation, thoughts cease, transcending consciousness. As it is said, the present awareness, not fabricated or artificial by memory or thought, is naturally spread out like wala le, sang le, seng le, pam le, this is recognized as self-arisen wisdom. Cutting through at one point: the intention of the dharmakaya transcends conceptual thought, abiding unmoving in the state of being free from the three bases. That is to say, memory and thought, the previous thought has ceased, the subsequent thought has not arisen, the present awareness is free from any fabrication or artificiality, the radiance of awareness has not ceased, like water clearing up, not obscured by deliberate effort, not lost due to distraction, only keeping the ordinary awareness as it is, aware, clear, yere, wala le, this is as the "Secret Sound Tantra" says: Without previous or subsequent memory or thought, aware, clear, wala le pa, this very present awareness, the dharmakaya with a basis should be recognized. Like the pupil of the eye, on awareness, memory grasps, on yere, awareness rests, self-awareness without attachment is held by conviction, like the cloudless autumn sky, sal le wala

Without limit or center. Because it was not thought of or abandoned. There is no sinking, dullness, or elaboration. Like the sun, clear and free from eclipses. Salley Walley is immutable. Blissful non-thought abides continuously. Therefore, self-arisen is immutable. Like a flawless mirror reflecting a face. Walley Bala has no substance. This alone is the essence of Dharma. The ground is without object, the supreme of realization. . Those four distinctions are also. Self-awareness, wisdom, and Dharmakaya are one. . Because there is no ignorance or confusion. Like a jewel in clear water. So it is said. To settle on the confidence of liberation: Thus, when resting in a state of clarity and freedom from elaboration, like a clear ocean, the manifestation of ordinary consciousness projecting onto objects is shown as self-arising and self-liberating, like waves dissolving into water. When arising, relax in a state of non-distraction and non-fabrication. Thoughts vanish without a trace. The arising sensations dissolve into the ground, which is called self-liberation. That itself is: What is called self-mind liberation. There is no going from one place to another. The mind that is not liberated by anything. Because it is complete from the ground, there is no coming or going. Investigation does not find a reason. Because there is no ground, emptiness and clarity abide. That mind that abides in self-clarity. It is free from bias because it is liberated by the key point. Because it is liberated by time, there is no dependence. Because it is liberated without effort, there is no striving. Here, liberation by confidence is explained. Because it is liberated from the beginning, there is no need to repeat. Because it is self-liberated, there is no antidote. Because it is liberated by staring, it disappears in the place of seeing. Because it is completely liberated, there is no effort. As it is said, self-arising is undifferentiated, and one rests in confidence without clinging, effort, acceptance, rejection, or antidote. The second meaning, Tögal, has four parts: First, the three key points of body, speech, and mind are pressed. Relying on the three key points, the manifest is introduced directly into oneself. The way the four visions arise through practice. The ultimate instruction. . The first is: The key point of the body, three postures, any one of which is acceptable. The key point of speech is to cut off speech. The key point of mind is to train in abandoning thoughts and distractions. The second is: The key point of the door, three ways of looking, any one of which is acceptable. The key point of the object is to focus on the cloudless sky. The key point of the wind-mind is to exhale slowly from the mouth, and the awareness should not be distracted from the center of the sky. Third, there are four ways in which the four visions arise. First, the nature of Dharma
