Using the three "Las" to excavate and practice the art of trees. First, among the three "Las," the first is to investigate the root of thoughts: Where is the creator of these three, body, speech, and mind?" "Where will they go in the past and future lives?" "From where do affirmation and negation arise? After investigation, it is known to be in the mind. Second, in the middle, searching for the flaws of the mind: Are the mind and the three, body, speech, and mind, one or separate?" "When happiness, unhappiness, pleasantness, unpleasantness, joy, and sorrow arise, are the mind and these one or separate?" "If they are one, then the mind should have color, because it is one with the body. If they are separate, then where are they separately? After investigation and analysis, understanding oneness and separateness, the investigation is not without gain, thus determining that everything is fabricated and sudden. Third, finally investigating the three, origin, dwelling, and destination: From where do these fabricated and sudden minds arise, from the outer and inner vessels and beings? Does mind arise from mind itself? Investigating the mind in this way, the cause of birth is empty. Investigating the dwelling place and the dweller, the nature of dwelling is empty. Investigating the destination and the goer, it is known that its own nature is empty, thus determining that the mind, separated from the three times and the root, will definitely arise extra, like the rising sun. Second, the way to recognize what has arisen: Dwelling is appearing as the continuum of mind, scattering is appearing as the play of mind, and there are three kinds of recognition that abide in the state of non-duality and equality. The first is: Although the ways of appearing are various, look well at this mind that has not established any entity, do the phenomena such as happiness and unhappiness exist established outside the mind?" "Are the awareness of affirmation and negation, and its nature, existing separately? Whatever appears, in the state of non-attachment, say "Phat!" "Look with wide eyes" "Let it go" "Like the waves of the ocean calming down, the groups of thoughts naturally abide in the nature of reality, once the nature of self-abiding reality is confirmed, no matter how the mind abides, let it go. The second is, again, various thoughts arise from that state, although the arising mind appears in various ways, it is not established in essence, like self-liberated water waves, do not specifically cling to "what is this," but have no attachment to any appearing awareness.

Let it rest naturally in its natural state. No matter how it arises, the arising and liberation exist simultaneously, which is originally the nature of the mind. From now on, do not welcome or reject various thoughts. Do not fabricate or deliberately cling to the awareness of the present moment in the realm of self-liberation, but let it rest naturally. Third, when such arising and dwelling occur, knowing its emptiness, it cannot transcend the base and abide. When abiding, the self-arisen awareness arises and dwells unceasingly, but the arising and abiding are inseparable, like a small wave arising in the ocean and dissolving into it. No matter how it arises and abides, if you do not continue to cling to it, it will not go beyond the play of Dharma nature. Therefore, from now on, do not defile this state of inseparability of arising and abiding with the clinging of hope, fear, rejection, and acceptance, but recognize this vast and boundless realm of ultimate liberation." "Third, to integrate the union of two inseparables into practice means that from the perspective of abiding, it is quiescence, and from the perspective of the arising and liberation of luminosity and emptiness, it is insight. Although it is introduced in this way, there is no entity that can be clung to or identified. Therefore, all experiences of good and bad and the play of thoughts are manifestations of the waves of Dharma nature, and one should integrate into practice in the realm of primordial emptiness, without root or basis." "Second, introducing the fundamental great wisdom, among which there is the supreme secret instruction for attaining Buddhahood in this life." "The intermediate secret instruction for liberation in the bardo. The lowest secret instruction for attaining Buddhahood in the realm of the self-nature embodiment. The first of these is based on three sitting postures, indicates the key points with three ways of looking, and recognizes the way the four appearances arise. The first is the three sitting postures of the three bodies: the sitting posture of the Dharma body is the lion posture, that is, like a dog, the soles of the feet are joined together, the hands are clenched into fists and held upright, the neck is slightly raised, and the eyes look straight at the space between the eyebrows. The sitting posture of the Sambhogakaya is the elephant posture, that is, the knees and chest are close together, the elbows are propped on the ground, and the fingers support the cheeks and are joined together. "The upright sitting posture of the Nirmanakaya is the hermit posture, that is, when the hermit sits, the hands embrace the waist, or cross them on the knees. The second is to look up with the eyes, look sideways, half-close the eyes, completely close the eyes, and do not deviate from the position of the sun by the distance of an arrow.
