In the Garland of Pearls, it says, "The past pure dharmas are all complete in body and mind." This shows that everything is the self-born wisdom of awareness. Now, to show that all the appearances of the external world are complete in the mind: The self-power of awareness, remembering without remembering, this is called mind. All subtle thoughts, such as gross, subtle, and unspeakable, are included in the manifestation of self-appearing awareness. However, its essence is awareness-emptiness, without fabrication, without traces. Self-arising, self-liberating, the essence does not go beyond emptiness-clarity. As it says in "Space of Clarity": "Mind is just the power of awareness in a moment of thought, all the extent of appearance and knowledge, is not separate from the very nature of awareness." In short, everything that becomes a body has the basis or seed of the Buddha, spontaneously present. As it says in "Self-Arising": "The intention of the true Buddha is present in the self-nature of all sentient beings, in the form of body and wisdom." And as it says in "Fine Arrangement of Jewels": "Just as oil is spontaneously present in sesame or mustard seeds, the seed of the Tathagata is also present in the appearance of sentient beings as a body, appearing together with the corresponding light." And as it says in the Garland of Pearls: "The past pure dharmas are all complete in body and mind." and so on. Therefore, this explains how the basis of liberation or the seed of the Buddha exists in this deluded body. Thus, although the wisdom of awareness pervades the entire body, it is especially important to explain the actual location where it exists, as well as the way in which awareness exists, and to explain the metaphor of existence. First, to explain the actual location: As it says in "Space of Clarity": "In the palace of the heart, veins, skull, and eyes, great wisdom dwells there." And as it says in "Decisive": "In the general, the citta, and within the veins, the unconditioned pure dharma nature exists." And as it says in "Fine Arrangement": "The palace of precious eight corners, the palace of the moving veins, the palace of the skull-Bhandha, and the palace of the seeing eyes. In those four great palaces, dwells the great secret of all mantras." And as it says in "Space of Clarity": "Within the body of all sentient beings, the door within the citta, skull, and veins, that is the abode of awareness." And, the citta is the palace of the heart, the brain is the palace of the skull, the moving veins are the palace of the veins, and the seeing faculties are the four palaces.

This is the place where the wisdom of awareness truly abides, as stated in the tantras. Now, the way in which awareness itself abides will be shown: From "Vast Expanse of Luminosity": In that place of the precious body, the essence, empty and clear, abides as the body; the nature, clear and empty, is like sesame light; compassion, appearing and empty, abides as a lamp. Therefore, outwardly, the essence of awareness abides as the body; within the heart are the peaceful deities, forty-two Buddhas; their energy resides in the bone chamber of the brain as fifty-eight blood-drinking deities, as stated in "Vast Expanse of Luminosity": Self-awareness abides as the body, clear but without established nature; within the heart, the father and mother in peaceful form; in the bone chamber, they abide in wrathful form. And as stated in "Extremes Severed": Within the citta, it abides as the body; the radiant body has five forms, each holding the characteristics of its own family. And as stated in "Perfection of Activity": Secret Assembly, precious eight-petaled lotus, the wisdom of awareness in the form of father and mother, meanings gathered in the palace of the bhāṇḍa, the wisdom of awareness abides as the wrathful body. And as stated in "Subtle Arrangement": Emaho! The way of abiding of awareness is, each abiding in the center of its own citta, abiding in the form of father and mother; the father's part holding the body of skillful means, the mother's part holding the body of wisdom, abiding in the form of light and rays, adorned with space and awareness, abiding as a spontaneously perfect great bindu, this is the way of peaceful abiding. Each abiding as wrathful deities on their own heads, appearing as father and mother, holding the form of wrathful and wrathful mothers, endowed with the five wisdoms, each wisdom of the body has five wisdoms of the head. So it is said. The color of these bodies, hand gestures, ornaments, and attire are clear in the tantra of the mind lineage. Inwardly, in the five chakras, they abide like ḍākas and ḍākinīs, as stated in "Vast Expanse of Luminosity": The awareness abiding in the body, outwardly is the nature of peaceful and wrathful, inwardly is ḍākas and ḍākinīs. So it is said. How they abide is clear in the Abhisamaya. Secretly, they abide as letters, and as it says in the same text: In the channels of the illusory body, the essence of awareness is formed as letters. So it is said. How they are formed is clear in the Abhisamaya of the ḍākinīs. Most secretly, they abide as a single bindu, and as previously stated: All is self-arisen, primordially pure. Now, the nature appears as light and bindu, that is without channels, blood, and bile, in the five chakras and the heart, and in the bhāṇḍa and the door of the senses.
