Fifth. Thus it is. All three are parts of awareness. Now, the clarity of the eye is like water, and around it are patterns of five lights, and various consciousnesses flow from the empty channels, all of which arise from causes and conditions. If there were no eyes, these realms would not arise. These are manifested based on awareness, so they are also explained in the palace. If one does not know the difference between awareness and these two, one will not know the difference of the instructions, and even though there are words of awareness below the secret cycles, if there is no realm, one will not know the introduction. All the explanations of awareness are combined with the emptiness-form of the realm. This is a mistake, like applying the qualities of a sapphire to a woven cloth. Even if one focuses solely on the increasing appearance of the realm and meditates, without the light of awareness and self-born wisdom, one will never escape the three realms. From this, at the time of fruition, the ultimate fruition of gods and humans is external. The gods of clear light are internal. So it is said. Also, in the commentary, in order to obtain the unchanging body, if one only looks at the increase of appearance, one will not be liberated from the birth place of the gods of contemplation, so it is determined that nothing is accomplished in the appearance of the exhaustion of phenomena. So it is said. Even if one practices the six unions, if one does not know this boundary, it is a mistake to cling to seeing the gods of emptiness-form as supreme. The distinctions and explanations of these are explained in many of the seventeen tantras and the Kalachakra, but enough of digressions. In short, awareness is the object, and the lamp of self-born wisdom is the wisdom of the object-possessor. Recognizing the two as pure and undefiled, and practicing them, is the key. To say that this has no cause and no condition is the nature of the two, but if one clings to the appearance of the realm and the deluded thoughts as real, and says that there are no causes and conditions even though one sees them, it will be a mistake. The great scholar Jamyang Shenyen extensively explained in "Ocean of Instructions" how to combine the causes and conditions of the arising of the appearance of the realm and the way of appearance with the five wisdoms. Second, right and wrong, which was mentioned in passing before, will also be briefly shown here. For the awareness that clings to characteristics, because there are characteristics, there is desire, and being bound by true conceptualization as an object-possessor is wrong, because it is not like that. The wisdom that clings to characteristics

The lamp of primordial self-origination is that all realms, the essence and awareness, appear without inherent existence. The dualistic clinging to subject and object is purified in its own place, and becoming the nature of pure union is non-mistaken. From this very point, it says: "The two aspects of the wisdom of the incarnate body, know the reality of how things are, know the meaning of how many things there are." This is the meaning of that. The awareness of the base is mistaken when it is together with conceptual thought and afflictions, and being free from the causes of those mistakes is non-mistaken. In essence, this is called the all-ground. When it dwells in one's own body, it generates all knowledge and dwells only in self-illumination. So it is said. The base-location is mistaken when it is not separated from the causes of obscuration, and its essence dwells in the nature of non-mistakenness. Then, it is the reality of the essence of original purity, possessing three wisdoms. All awareness that is not fabricated by parts abides in the essence of omniscient wisdom, and that wisdom also abides in subtle wisdom. So it is said. The awareness of higher seeing, like a thread, is mistaken when one's own awareness does not recognize its own face as the body of wisdom, and outwardly conceptualizes, taking meaningless realms of the six destinies, such as light, shapes, and colors, as subject and object, wanting to accept and reject, and thinking that one has done so. That very awareness, when accustomed to self-appearance and self-liberation, is called non-mistaken. The awareness of breakthrough, because it is the name of having practiced and reached the limit, the state of the result of the exhaustion of mistake is non-mistaken. That is also called abandoning dharma. Called the exhaustion of dharma. Called transcending dharma. Called liberation from dharma. So it is said. However, if conceptual thoughts arise that both subject and object are truly existent, and conceptual thoughts that they are non-existent, then one is currently defiled by mistaken awareness. Third, the meaning of going into practice is that when the awareness of seeing the essence-awareness appears manifestly, although one examines the way of abiding of the essence of indivisible appearance and emptiness with the awareness that grasps at characteristics, it appears to be in accordance with everything and yet not everything, and the nature of mind and wisdom, whether it is one or different, cannot be shown, it is the gathering of all the realities of ultimate and conventional.
