"Beyond diligence and practice." "Because it is an unadulterated fruit, it transcends hope and fear, as well as negation and affirmation." "'Ma' refers to the initial ground, with mind essence dissolving into it, causing samsara and nirvana to cease at the same moment, hence the three realms are without name." The indicated transformation of name symbols is: generally, all dharmas can only be inferred through symbols; apart from that, there can be no other dharmas. Therefore, the symbol of self-nature is samsara appearing as dharmata in the same moment, the symbol of speech is the meaning of the names of all dharmas being determined, and the symbol of action and teaching is the arising of realization in the continuum. Therefore, all dharmas of appearance and sound are inferred through symbols, and the word "Tibetan" is also inferred through symbols; hence, everything is liberated into the oral instructions of symbolic meaning. Joining the oral instructions of meaning transformation: what is called the mind should be known in terms of its seven aspects: essence, definition, classification, manner of vanishing, time of vanishing, place of vanishing, and characteristic of exhaustion. Among these, the essence of mind pervades from abiding to entering, and pervasion is exhaustion. The definition is that what the mind thinks about is samsara and nirvana; therefore, it is called mind. What it thinks about are different movements and various thoughts. Why does it think? It thinks for the sake of entering samsara and nirvana. How does it think, for example? Just as the son of Indra, Suvarna-hasta, thinks about wealth, so it is called mind. The classification will be explained below. The manner of vanishing is that different thoughts arise suddenly; therefore, they vanish suddenly and are not stained by karma and habitual tendencies, because the nature of mind is emptiness, and self-nature transcends the grasp of concepts. This is like clouds and so on suddenly appearing from the sky and then suddenly vanishing, without direction or boundary, and without trace; therefore, it is like being unstained. The time of vanishing is when recognizing between prior and subsequent thoughts, so it does not remain on the previously clung-to habitual tendencies; this is the key to the body and mind being unrelated. The present habitual tendencies vanish in their own place; this is the key to being free from karma and maturation, and the future habitual tendencies are exhausted at the point of exhaustion; this is the key to not reverting to the three realms. For example, it vanishes like the appearance of a wave vanishing in the ocean. The place of vanishing is that it vanishes between prior and subsequent appearances, thus distinguishing between matter and awareness. It vanishes between prior and subsequent awareness, thus severing the connection between mother and child. It vanishes between prior and subsequent movements of thought; therefore, karma and

Immaturity cannot make clothes. Since the nature of reality vanishes between before and after, the connection between the body and mind of before and after is also impossible. The movement of the previous mind vanishes into the ground, so what appears appears, and what is empty is empty. As the present thoughts vanish into the sky, afflictions are liberated into the nature of reality. As the future thoughts of the mind vanish into the realm of reality, one does not remain in the past and future lives. The characteristic of the exhaustion of the nature of reality itself or the nature of mind itself is: not remaining in the cycle of past and future appearances, so the Dharma is exhausted, one's own tenets collapse, the cycle of past and future minds does not remain, so thoughts are exhausted, and the reasons above and below collapse. Not remaining in the cycle of past and future lives is the dissolution of the connection between body and mind. Furthermore, when samsara and nirvana are exhausted, whatever appears is the nature of reality, and when the cycle of clear recollection is exhausted, movement is self-liberated. When view and meditation are exhausted, one does not transcend mental activity. When the cause is exhausted, there is no increase of past and future thoughts. When the Dharma is exhausted, one transcends meditation and practice. When experience is exhausted, there is no combination of past and future realizations. When the mind is absent, the realm of past and future entry is empty. When sentient beings are exhausted, samsara is universally completed. When Buddhas are exhausted, there is no hope, fear, or partiality. When samsara is exhausted, the nature of reality has no dependence on past and future. Therefore, exhaustion is emptiness, and emptiness is irreversible. "Object" means: Also, with the key to dispelling, the object of samsara and nirvana is clear: With the special object of non-existence, one is skilled in the timing of exhaustion. When the mind is exhausted, one grasps the measure of vanishing, so the various thoughts do not transcend the cycle of the one nature of reality. With the special object of existence, there is nowhere to go beyond the appearance of consciousness and the nature of reality. With the special object of both, the nature of mind does not remain in the two extremes. Not remaining in the former extreme, one transcends clinging to the self-arisen continuum of birth. Not remaining in the latter extreme, one does not remain in either the cause or the condition of reversal. If one dwells on that object, dwelling on the ground, there is no need to correct the mind. Dwelling on the path, there is no need to transform the mind. Dwelling on the fruit, one does not transcend the difference of the three times. If one focuses on that object, focusing on the external object, the key to the liberation of the appearance condition into the nature of reality, focusing on the internal aggregates, the key to the liberation of all suffering into the nature of reality, the secret mind
