Here, it is grasped because a special realization arises from itself at the root of the mind. Therefore, how could such confusion arise from the absence of mind? Because confusion itself is liberated upon confusion. Therefore, this is mind, that is object. Thus, there is nothing other than the self-liberation of both object and mind. As such, with these, the first general meaning, the liberation at the crucial point of dharmata, the indication of the special self-basis, is shown by dividing it into three branch meanings. Now, the second general meaning, that nothing is not liberated by the distinction of the obscuration of dharmata, is shown with seven branch meanings, the first of which is: That those of gradual intelligence rely on uncommon practice, indicating that there is no place to take from dharmata, as indicated by "if a person wishes to learn," etc. If those of gradual intelligence, a person who wishes to learn the meaning of that dharmata, throws wind out from the mouth into the sky, and from dwelling knowingly at the point where memory vanishes, all sudden thoughts are cut off by recognizing it. By abiding in that at all times, one's own awareness arises with an experience of not knowing what to do, without measuring whether this is or is not, it will appear in one's own continuum. By abiding constantly in that, the continuous flow of the mind's various activities, together with the wind, ceases. From where do those arise? That arises first from the essential point of the body, either sitting in the lotus position or in any comfortable posture, or like a lion. By doing so, at the essential point of the mind, memory and thought naturally vanish, severing the connection between self and other, which arises from self-origination. Therefore, ultimately there is no place to go, so there is no day of return. The first. Now, the second, showing the sudden recognition of memory and thought with an example: For example, just as a cloud arises in the sky, it arises suddenly and disappears suddenly. Various memories and thoughts, due to sudden causes, do no harm to anyone. It is like the sky is not covered by clouds. The various movements of mind and thoughts are also like dirt or dust accumulating on a vessel. Just as dirt on a vessel has no harm or benefit, benefit and harm are not established on dharmata. That also arises from knowing it to be sudden. Similarly, memories and awareness are suddenly the body

It does not benefit or harm by being stained. Just as a vessel is not harmed by dirt, the nature of reality is not harmed, and so is the mind of awareness. This is the second content. Now, the third content shows the characteristic of vanishing, which is severing the connection between body and mind. The natural vanishing of discursive thoughts is: For example, just as a rainbow shines brightly in the sky and disappears into the sky without a trace. Since thoughts and appearances are sudden, they vanish without a trace. Just knowing that it is sudden, like a mist suddenly rising from the great ocean, and eventually disappearing without a trace, various thoughts arise suddenly, but they vanish naturally like mist, so there is no cause from where it arises in the beginning, no path to where it goes in the end, and no basis for where it stays in the middle. Therefore, the mind that sometimes appears to exist and sometimes appears not to exist is the same. Since there is no place of origin in the beginning, there is no basis or root; since there is no place to stay now, neither cause nor characteristic is established; since there is no place to go in the end, it is called the unborn, intangible mind. This is not like being worn away by time as in externalist philosophies, but just knowing that the root of the mind does not exist, and not like magical powers or dreams, it will definitely disappear, so discursive thoughts do not produce any benefit or harm. Therefore, the body is not produced from the factors that produce actions, so the mind has no basis and cannot be seen even when observed; the mind is emptiness, separated from attachment and discrimination, so the body is not produced from the mind, therefore there is no connection, because the body will leave and go. In this way, the meaning of non-existence appears as an illusory mind, and from the realm of non-existence, the illusory body is also impermanent, so it is like an illusion. Therefore, just as magic tricks deceive magic tricks, the realm of no-mind is grasped. This is the third content, showing the characteristic of vanishing, which is the connection between body and mind. Now, the fourth content shows the self-knowing emptiness of Dharma with metaphors: For example, just as from the sky of ignorance, the wisdom of space, clouds of afflictions suddenly appear, although they appear, they do not stain it. Whatever discursive thoughts arise, this is the pure path of yogis. For example, there is no place for thoughts to arise in the sky, nor do they stay. Similarly, the nature of reality is emptiness.
