It is liberated in the third instant. Likewise, in the Manjushri Illusion Web, it says: "One instant distinguishes differences." And, "One instant perfects enlightenment." Thus. Furthermore, through the changes of the senses, the lama implants this key point in the heart of anyone, and merely by pointing it out, seeing leads to knowing, and knowing leads to understanding. Then, all three of those individuals attain accurate certainty. For example, just as an epileptic seizure causes one to lose consciousness in an instant, one is completely liberated in the senses. Also, just as drinking Dha-seng's semen causes one to lose consciousness in the second instant, those of middling capacity are liberated in the second instant. Just as drinking mad poison causes one to lose consciousness in the third instant, it is certain that the lowest are liberated in the third instant. Therefore, since liberation occurs based solely on pointing out the key point, without needing to habituate, not turning back in the three realms is like establishing that which is certain to die as not returning. Thus, the second meaning is explained: relying on a qualified lama causes beings not to turn back in the three realms. Now, the third meaning is explained: liberation through the accurate key point, which is expressed in terminology as "whatever is not known," and so on. "Whatever" means leaving appearances in their own place, and "not known" means not transforming them with the mind. That itself, without being cut off by the senses, is left in its own place, and there is no other place to go from there. Although it seems that one has not been liberated from the ordinary thoughts of beings, it is like being without mind. "Not looking" means that, since that itself has no direction or aim, it is the supreme instruction of the lama. It is named, and the mind itself, without attachment, is liberated without attachment. Such a key point is like knowing someone one has known before simply by seeing them later. What need is there to become acquainted again? That key point, which has no basis for re-creation in original liberation, is named, and the awareness without reliance is liberated nakedly. Since it is a key point that does not need to be liberated from merely knowing it, therefore, habituating to that itself, seeing is bliss, knowing is emptiness, and emptiness is emptiness. That itself is named a yogi who has confidence and does not turn back in the three realms. Since there is no need to habituate to that, the mind itself is absent, and merely seeing is one's own.

Where is there no place for liberation? Like this, the fifth point summarized by these, which is entering through the excellent means, arises relying on the kind guru, and this is explained in three contents. Now, the sixth general meaning of the first object of the mind is the place of disappearance. Relying on the key points of time, explaining the transcendence of visualizing the deity in the mind, this is explained in two contents, the first of which is the analogy of those who see the key points and do not return to the three realms: From where does it arise, what arises and disappears. Like this and so on are explained. From where does it arise? It arises from knowing the key point. Whatever sudden thoughts arise, they disappear into the emptiness of Dharmata. Moreover, from where does that Dharmata arise? Because various different thoughts cease, it cannot be known. Why can't it be known? Because the subsequent sudden thoughts cease, it is the cause of self-cessation, the condition of disappearance is self-extinguishing, and the dependence is exhausted at the place of disappearance. The mind without object and without foundation, the certain awareness is the mind without root and without trace, completely pure. Knowing like this, one will not return to the three realms, and this mind-essence without attachment and without trace disappears in its own place, for example, a person with excellent skills shoots an arrow into the sky, it will not return, there is no target to aim at, there is no trace and no place to cling to, like an empty space where there is nowhere to go, awareness merges into the base, therefore the temporary sudden thoughts have no attachment to where they go, and the mind-essence disappears without bias and trace. Moreover, since things do not return, emptiness is without bias. That thing temporarily does not go anywhere from the sky, so it is unreal and empty. That thing neither stays in the sky nor falls on the ground. It is like the arrow of Singala being lifted by the wind in the sky and not falling. This mind that knows the extent of liberation and disappearance is also the same as the arrow of Singala shot into the sky by a person with skills. Thus, the first content, the analogy of those who see the key points and do not return to the three realms, has been explained. Now, the second content, the explanation that just seeing the key points and knowing them, without relying on meditation and effort, is naturally liberated: Moreover, the essence of the mind originally abides in emptiness, and whatever arises and appears does not go beyond the great bliss of abiding in itself. Because the mind has no essence, external conditions
