Supreme guide, unequaled in every way, constantly and tirelessly engaged in explaining, debating, and composing for the Buddha's teachings. Through diligence, may I, the propagator, always accomplish the unparalleled growth of the Buddha's teachings, spreading them in all directions. 23. Thus, this "Melodious Song of Delight," composed to pray to the lineage lamas of the grammar, the Sutra of Sarasvati, and the oral instructions, is based on the kindness of Ngawang Tashi Namgyal, the single jewel on the crown of all cultural scholars in the snowy land of Tibet today, the one eye of the world. In the name of one who has slightly studied the grammar, the fundamental Sutra of Sarasvati, Ngawang Yangchen Drubpai Dorje, and the widely known name of the Vidyadhara Tsewang Norbu Jamyang Gyatso, or Padma Thegchog Tenpai Galsel, the chariot of definite accomplishment, the host of Phyle Namgyal Wangpo, spoken by myself as a display of the name of grammar on the thirteenth day of the Water Upper Month, during the conjunction of the time of Leo. The glory of the three speeches pervading the sky, possessing the accumulation of stainless wisdom, diligently bestowing nectar upon beings, the form with supremely clear marks and signs, the source of all complete glories transcending samsara and nirvana, constantly granting the two accumulations, holding a begging bowl, to that I prostrate and pay homage! Strength and fearlessness unmixed, the dharmas completely perfected, possessing fearless speech, solely bestowing benefit and happiness upon all, the field of merit for beings together with the gods, holding the saffron banner, the self-arisen Buddha, the Sage King, the protector of the world, to that I prostrate and pay homage! With the melodious sound of a right-spiraling conch shell, like the rising sun from the mountain's shoulder. A goddess with a beautiful moon mandala, unparalleled in the world. Holding a lute that gathers all the sounds of Brahma. I prostrate and praise Saraswati, the embodiment of Prajnaparamita! Like the wind's movement, the life force pervading the three realms. The supreme wish-fulfilling jewel that dispels all poverty and suffering of beings. Your beautiful fame fills the earth, eliminating all poverty of speech. I prostrate and praise you, the learned Pandit who delights in the feast of poetic gems! Ignorant beings who do not understand the adornment of cycles, if they can turn away, their wisdom will increase. If they can remember without forgetting, they will achieve the supreme Dharani of speech mastery. Transcending the actions of ordinary beings, becoming the master of supreme accomplishment. I prostrate and praise the fearless teacher Ngawang Shila Kirti! Dispelling doubts, adorning with beauty, poetry is excellent, words are magnificent, and can also be played. Revealing the meaning of selflessness, entering into supreme liberation, this is not something others can do. Therefore, I prostrate and praise the great Indian Pandit with the auspicious name and lotus, who is proficient in the Buddha's teachings and propagates them widely. Although born in the snowy land of Tibet, he possesses the wisdom and intelligence of India. Here, the treasure of the five sciences is abundant. I prostrate and praise the great translator who widely propagates grammar, poetry, etc. Vajra Dhvaja, the steadfast wise one! Without pulling by hand, the bow of the senses is the vitality of spring. Without wounds, the arrow of wisdom can pierce through all opponents. Astrology, calculation, water divination, all clear places appear in the mind of wisdom. I prostrate and praise the virtuous mind of the Mangkar Lotsawa, who possesses merit! Able to discern what to accept and reject, illuminating the darkness as it is. Like the sun and the witness, the translator's wisdom is steadfast. Although not different, the sun is an inanimate object that travels in the sky. You are a sentient being with wisdom, therefore I pay homage! Free from attachment, the deep water treasure, the tip of Bodhi grows. The moon of wisdom is free from birth and death, belonging to the retinue of the good sky. Free from the crest, the light of Samsara is the splendor of great compassion. I prostrate and praise all the Lamas who raise the banner of fame!
