The chariot of the sun. In addition, there are various sadhanas of deities, treatises written according to the wishes of others, and many oral instructions and other teachings. At that time, from the offerings made by devotees, apart from a single silk thread related to vows, a small amount of gold and silver, and a single strand of saffron, he never accepted even the smallest items, let alone large offerings. Moreover, during the two and a half years in the Ladakh region, the food expenses of all the officials and attendants were paid entirely by him personally with his own possessions. The Ladakhis only provided some firewood each day, and even the king was not allowed to cause any trouble or difficulty to the venerable one or his attendants. At that time, the king of Mulbekh, Tashi Namgyal, for various reasons, was unable to come to see him in time. Eventually, after a long time, he was involuntarily drawn by the powerful force of the venerable one's compassion and arrived at Wangla. The venerable one did not receive him immediately but had him stay there. The king was very frightened and anxiously made many requests, earnestly pleading. When he was finally granted an audience as he wished, he fainted as soon as he saw the venerable one's face. After regaining consciousness, his body trembled, and he was at a loss. Eventually, he regained his senses somewhat and was able to distinguish between what to accept and reject, promising never to disobey any of the venerable one's teachings. He also requested that the vows be kept not only when things were good but that they should be kept forever, imploring the venerable one to bestow his grace. He deeply regretted his long delay in coming to see him and, as a token of repentance, offered a pile of Karshapanas (Sanskrit Devanagari: कर्षपण, Sanskrit Romanization: karṣapaṇa, Chinese literal meaning: an ancient Indian coin), which were priceless and comparable to the jewels of India. The venerable one said, "It is good that the king repents for his own faults. Since that is the case, I will accept your repentance. However, these possessions are unrelated to the vows, and I will not accept any of them. Take them back." And with the above reasons, he immediately returned them.

Ah! During the negotiation and conclusion of the treaty, mainly because Your Majesty's own state of mind, penetrating the observation of the wisdom that knows all knowable things, it is without a doubt that it could be effortlessly accomplished with just the Vajra speech. However, the Buddhas, even though they know, still adapt to the appearances of the beings to be tamed, and demonstrate such and such actions, which is the norm. Here, it was also considered that if the kings on both sides did not engage in some negotiation, in the future, there would be disputes arising from "there was no opportunity to speak the truth and it was interrupted." At that time, for the close attendants who were standing by, and the representative of the Garpon (Sgar-dpon, the Mongol military commander stationed in Ladakh), Sbrel-po, they were ordered to conduct multiple negotiations according to their respective wishes, and finally, the necessary key points, according to the legal system of the central Tibetan region, that is, the discipline of subduing oneself, freely acting within one's own territory, which is known as the "local law," as the main content, and also at the border of many kingdoms, the lineage of empowerment from the crown of the king's lineage existing without interruption, with a respectful attitude, not conflicting with good customs. For the parties involved, their respective rights and interests, and their truth or falsehood, gentle and detailed inquiries were made separately, and for important questions, repeated inquiries were made three or four times, and even if there was slight repetition, it was treated as important and serious, and apart from a few details, most of it was clear, and first they were allowed to conduct a draft reading, and then the main points were formally recorded, so that the beginning and end of all words and sentences could become credible evidence, and after that, the respective places of acceptance and rejection, all the key points were summarized into core articles, and the final ruling was made, and the seals of the king, uncle and nephew, and the ministers and people, etc., are as follows, and on the third day of the white side of the Sagittarius month (October in the Tibetan calendar) of the Water Monkey year (1632), a complete decision was made. Furthermore, from the perspective of the various parties who uphold the royal doctrine, represented by the Hemis Monastery, the Ladakhi prince, the incarnate tulku, is engaged in the affairs of the state, therefore, if those practitioners and monks who blindly imitate become vulgar in their behavior, it will be a great damage to the royal doctrine, and they will be ruined in this life and the next.
