Meditating in the manner of... directly seeing selflessness is like the path of seeing of a stream-enterer. Once-returner and never-returner are the path of meditation. Realizing that the root of karma is affliction, and the root of that is self-grasping. For example, if the father of a magician is killed, the magic wheel will naturally stop, similarly, the karma and afflictions born from self-grasping will cease, thereby obtaining the Arhat fruit of remainder Nirvana and non-remainder, this is the path of no more learning. The great being turns away from all of samsara and the extremes of the peace of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, because other than that there is no suffering and knowable, so for suffering and knowable, there is nothing to do. Abandoning the origin of suffering, which is also karma and afflictions, knowable and habitual tendencies, because other than that there is no origin of suffering to be abandoned, so for abandoning the origin of suffering, there is nothing to do. In the path of truth, realizing the reality of all phenomena, the ultimate truth, the nature of selflessness, so for relying on the path, there is nothing to do. Because one has obtained the Dharmakaya of the fruit Buddha, so other than that there is nothing to be obtained, so for cessation, there is nothing to do. Now, the great being turns away from both samsara and peace, aroused by great renunciation, binding the continuum with the vows of both Sutra and Tantra of the far path, characteristic vehicle, etc., meditating on the eight samadhis and the generation and completion stages of mantra, this is meditation, and on top of that, realizing the view of the three great ones, this is wisdom. The realization from Hearers and Solitary Realizers to Anu and below is the discipline of realization. Merely guarding the view of Ati's uncontrived, primordial purity, thereby, all thoughts of good and bad are purified and liberated in the space of that great wisdom, cutting off, thereby destroying all obscurations of karma, afflictions, knowable and habitual tendencies, and obtaining the Dharmakaya of the Buddha. From that, the Rupakaya is without cessation, benefiting beings with the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya. Such an establishment of the four truths is what the teacher, the complete and perfect Buddha, the Bhagavan, the unequaled Shakya King, Shakya Simha, spoke. These are the general summary of the teachings. Now, for what is to be practiced, is to abandon non-virtuous karma, accomplish virtuous karma, and view everything as the nature of karma.

Among the three, first, there are two aspects: explaining the non-virtuous actions to be abandoned and explaining the results. First, although there are countless non-virtuous actions, if we summarize them from the perspective of accumulation, they are the ten non-virtuous actions, including the three non-virtuous actions of the body. The root cause of all actions is the three poisons. As it is said in the "Garland of Precious Gems" (Ratnavali): "Attachment, hatred, and ignorance, from these arise non-virtuous actions." Therefore, these three poisons are inherently non-virtuous, and the actions arising from them are called corresponding non-virtuous actions. According to the scriptures, the cause of afflictions is mental activity (cetasika) of intention (cetanā), and according to the instructions, it is mind (manas) and conceptual thought (vikalpa). When afflictions arise, they must arise in dependence on an object. Therefore, attachment arises in dependence on a pleasing object, hatred arises in dependence on an unpleasing object, and ignorance arises in dependence on a neutral object. There are four kinds of results, and so on. Second, the virtuous actions to be accomplished, although they are inconceivably limitless, if we summarize them from the perspective of accumulation, they are the three virtuous actions of the body, and so on. Regarding the cause, as it is said: "Without attachment, without hatred, without ignorance, the actions arising from these are virtuous." Therefore, thinking of not doing the ten non-virtuous actions, and resolving not to do the ten non-virtuous actions even if it costs one's life, this thought is the discipline of abandoning the ten non-virtuous actions. The special feature of the ten virtuous actions is abandoning killing and saving lives, and so on. There are four kinds of results. When practicing such non-virtuous and virtuous actions, one must contemplate them by comparing cause and effect. Third, everything is shown to be the nature of action. In the sutra, it says: "The actions of sentient beings, etc." There are three kinds of actions: purely white actions, purely black actions, and mixed black and white actions. Purely white actions are those in which both thought and action are entirely virtuous. The result of this is rebirth in the greatest happiness and wealth of gods and humans. Purely black actions are those in which both thought and action are non-virtuous, and therefore one is reborn in the greatest suffering of the three lower realms. The third is mixed actions, that is, actions in which the thought is white but the action is black, such as when a compassionate caravan leader kills a black man with a spear. If there is no selfish attachment, then for a Bodhisattva
