There, a brave captain named Magha, who is famous like Indra for benefiting all sentient beings, will reveal all the secrets of the path to Badara Island. Having said this, the prophesying goddess disappeared. He was delighted and, as the god had instructed, endured great hardships to traverse all those paths, and after twelve years, he arrived at the city of Rihi-tiki. There, Captain Magha was suffering from illness and was staying inside near the door. He gained entry as a doctor and they conversed with each other. Since he was skilled in the Veda of Life, he knew that the captain's life was only six months, and although he was unhappy, he treated and cared for him well, so in a short time they became very close and the illness gradually subsided. He spoke of his own situation, and Magha praised him and was happy to be his friend. Although he had never seen the lord of Badari Island, he inferred from the signs of the ocean direction and, knowing it, built a ship. Together with Magha, he boarded the ship and sailed a hundred yojanas with favorable winds. There, he saw various colors of water and asked Magha. Magha said, "In this ocean, there are five iron mountains, and also substances like copper and silver, which change the color of the ocean." There, Magha fell ill and passed away, but the captain was very happy and, with steadfast courage, went to the seashore. After properly taking care of his friend's body, he boarded the ship again and crossed the treasure of the river. Entering the dense forest on the side of the Jewel Mountain, he saw that the towering peaks reaching the sky were inaccessible, and it was difficult to pass from any direction, so he felt helpless. At the foot of that mountain, he lay on a bed of leaves, thinking: I have come here for so long, but I have not even heard the name of Badari Island, and my best friend has died. A person came and said, "If you go east from here for about a kurosha, to the three-peaked mountain, climb the earthen stairs and go up." He went as he was told. On that mountain top, he saw a smooth and high crystal mountain that even birds could not pass, and for a while, not knowing what to do, he stayed there. A yaksha named Moonlight, who lived in a cave in the rock, manifested his body and said, "If you go east from here for about a yojana, in the sandalwood forest, collect the great medicine that is in the cave called 'Rab Seljye' (Extremely Illuminating), and when you illuminate it with its light, you will achieve your desire when you climb the crystal mountain." He did as he was instructed and reached the top of that mountain. He saw a city with golden houses, the gate of which was blocked by a large golden gate bolt. When he reached the edge of the forest, night fell, the moon rose, and he fell asleep there. A powerful deity who appeared to him prophesied in a dream: "Hey, courageous one, you who work hard for the benefit of others, do not be discouraged here by the small remainder of hardship. This golden city and the other three that are on the other side are increasingly radiant. Recite the sutras and knock on their doors, and in order, four kinnara women, eight, sixteen, and thirty-two from those cities will come out. Since you have subdued your senses, regard them as sisters. Go and accept their unrestrained union, and you will quickly achieve your desire, and a king of horses will appear and make you return safely to your homeland." As the goddess prophesied, he woke up with a joyful mind and did as he had been told. He knocked on the door of the first city three times with his hand, and four kinnara women came and said sweetly, "This city of kinnaras is under the power of you, virtuous man." He replied sweetly, "I will take the utensils, but women are under the control of others, so I will not take them. You are mothers and sisters. I have turned away from the ten non-virtuous paths such as greed, so I am happy to speak of the Dharma. If you place a victory banner on the top and pray, you will receive a thousand kuroshas.

Then, in the third city, which was of the nature of lapis lazuli, sixteen yaksha women offered him and gave him a jewel that was twice as powerful as the jewel from the previous second city. Then, at the gate of the fourth city, which was of the nature of four jewels, thirty-two yaksha women gave him a jewel that was twice as great in merit as the jewel obtained from the third city, and they pleased him with Dharma-filled speech in the course of their conversation. There, those girls, looking at him with joyful sidelong glances, said, 'This place called Moonbeam, the source of jewels, is the dwelling place of our brother, the yaksha king. This jewel rains down whatever is desired in all the world, so please take it.' He took the jewels, and there, by his merit, he ate a kind of uncultivated, unmixed fruit called Cloud-Strength Horse, which nourished his body. He rode that horse and went safely to the Swan City. At that time, King Brahma had passed away and gone to the heavens, and he was very happy and was crowned king. On the fifteenth day of that month, he stayed in fasting and hung the jewel on the top of the victory banner, and he satisfied all the world by raining down whatever was desired, and he ruled for a hundred years. Then he placed his own son on the throne and went to the realm of Brahma. Later, when the Bhagavan Buddha became enlightened, in order to protect those companions who were afraid of thieves, he took treasures and gave riches to share with his companions, and thus protected his companions, and he did this six times. When the monks told of this, they said, 'This is not only now, but in the past he also protected his companions.' In order to pacify the diseases of beings, he would go to places like the snowy mountains, Mandara, and Vibhidaka to search for medicine. He would go into the forests, take medicine, and then return, pacifying the diseases of beings. Once, in the Himalayas, he saw a thin and sick Pratyekabuddha, so he put down his load of medicine, prostrated, and spoke to him. That Pratyekabuddha also, starting from his bodily illness, said, "You should initiate diligence to destroy the afflictions of the mind that suffer in existence, propelled by karma and afflictions." Having heard this excellent teaching, he was very pleased, and the strength of his diligence increased even more. He said, "Noble one, I will attend to you until this illness of yours is healed." So, he would bring good alms taken from the householders of the Himalayas every day, and without any unhappiness, he would engage in diligence, not thinking of fatigue. Because of his extreme faith, that Pratyekabuddha manifested various miracles, such as blazing and appearing in the middle of the sky. He joined his palms and made various praises of words, and prayed that he would become a Buddha. That Pratyekabuddha, being pleased, disappeared right there. The loving Brahmin also placed great respect in him, and having taken the medicines, he healed all the sick. Furthermore, in a past life, in a city called Golden City, when this Bhagavan was born as the son of a king named Golden King, he was called Golden Armor. His sister, named Golden Light, was enjoying pleasure with the son of a minister named Desire's Essence, and because it was feared that the daughter's behavior was deteriorating, the king ordered that the daughter and the minister's son be killed. They saw Golden Armor, and the sister, with her eyes filled with tears, could not say anything. The minister's son said, "It is easy to kill me, as punishment is inflicted for the crimes committed. But a woman should never be killed by anyone, please save my sister." Golden Armor, out of compassion, seized their chariot and would not let it go. His friends said, "No one can disobey the command of the rulers of the land, for the sake of your own life, release them."
