He said, "Now, do whatever you want, whether you want to offer me, give me alms, or eat me." That Rakshasa developed faith, his eyes filled with tears, and forgetting his sinful mind, he looked at the prince and said, "O King, who would knowingly harm someone like you? Please also show me those well-spoken words, and I want to listen. By the power of your well-spoken words, I also regret my own bad deeds." After saying this, Prince Bodhisattva said to the Rakshasa, since the years of the sage's curse were also complete, and the time to enter the Dharma had come, it was appropriate to desire the Dharma, so he said, "Well then, desiring the Dharma requires conduct that is in accordance with it. Sit on a very low seat, fully display the splendor of taming, look with joyful eyes, like drinking the nectar of words, generate respect, and single-mindedly prostrate. With pure faith, listen to the Dharma respectfully, just as a patient listens to the words of a doctor." Then, the Rakshasa Red-Foot spread his upper garment on top of a high stone slab, placed the Bodhisattva on it, and looking at his face, said, "Great Bodhisattva, please speak." The Bodhisattva, with a clear voice, spoke the verse he had heard before: "For the holy, just once, no matter how they meet as they wish, there is no need to be familiar, and they will naturally become very stable." Hearing this, the Red-Foot Rakshasa said, "Good!" shaking his head, making a "se go" sound, and feeling very happy. He then said to the Bodhisattva, "Please speak again." The Bodhisattva spoke the second verse: "The holy ones cannot be shortened by anyone. One should rely on virtue in the manner of a bee. Near them, the dust of their qualities, even if not intentionally stained, will be stained." The Red-Foot Rakshasa said, "With virtue, well spoken, you worship in every way. Wealth is also sent to the place where it should go. After striving, the wish is fulfilled." Then he said again, "Speak again." The Bodhisattva said, "The king's chariot is adorned with precious gold, and the body will also become ugly due to aging, but the Dharma of the holy ones does not age. Virtues are the stable foundation of qualities." The Red-Foot Rakshasa made a "se go" sound, and I

He satisfied them with a rain of nectar. Then he spoke again. The Bodhisattva spoke the fourth verse: The distance between the sky and the earth is long. The distance between the near and far shores of the ocean is long. The distance between the mountains of the east and west is long. The distance between ordinary people and the sacred Dharma is even longer. Then the Rakshasa, greatly pleased and respectful, said to the Bodhisattva: In order to make offerings for hearing your four verses, which are clear in meaning, I wish to offer four sacred things. Please ask for whatever you desire. The prince said: If you strive to make me unfree, then the practice of virtue becomes inverted. How can you give sacred things to others? Even if I grant you permission to give sacred things, your mind will not be inclined to generosity, so do not speak like that. Then the Rakshasa, somewhat ashamed and with his head lowered, said to the Bodhisattva: Please do not harbor such doubts. I will offer those sacred things even if I give up my life, please accept them. The Bodhisattva said: Enjoy the practice of truth and abandon killing sentient beings. Release all these people you have captured. Hero, you must completely abandon eating human flesh. Give these four supreme sacred things as alms. The Rakshasa said: I will offer the first three sacred things to you. Please ask for another fourth sacred thing. I am unable to not eat human flesh. Didn't you know that from before? The prince said: Didn't I say that you are unable to give sacred things as alms? If you do not abandon eating human flesh, how can you speak truthfully and not kill living beings? In that case, how can you give the first three sacred things as alms? It has become like this, that you give the four sacred things by giving up your life. The Rakshasa said: For what reason did I lose the kingdom? I suffer in the forest. I have fallen from the Dharma and gained a bad reputation. How can I abandon those things? The prince said: For what reason do you lose Dharma and kingdom? Happiness and fame disappear. That source that causes poverty, it is not right to abandon it. And so on. You were previously abiding in the kingdom, but now you are under the power of the mind that makes you a flesh-eating Rakshasa.

He was advised that it was appropriate to enter a path that would not harm Dharma and politics, so the cannibal prince prostrated to him and vowed never to eat human flesh again, and offered all the prisoners. Then, Prince Moon went to the imprisoned princes, who were very happy, thinking that we were saved, and gave them encouragement. He made them swear not to harm the cannibal prince in the future, and released them from prison. The five hundred princes also escorted the cannibal prince, placed him on the throne, and he ruled the country righteously, and those princes also served him. The other princes were also placed on their respective thrones. That Prince Moon was the Blessed One himself, and the cannibal demon later became the monk Angulimala. Therefore, meeting with holy beings brings great benefits, and one should do as the holy beings say, and with skillful means one can accomplish the benefit of oneself and others, and even in the face of great difficulties one can endure, and even in the face of danger one will not turn away from the path of Dharma, and relying on Dharma one can accomplish vast benefits for oneself and others. Considering these reasons, one should respect the virtues of Dharma. Again, in the past, in Varanasi, a king named Brahma-datta ruled the country, and the whole country was prosperous and peaceful. At that time, the son of the Brahmin who served as the royal chaplain, named Green Youth, was versed in the eighteen branches of knowledge, possessed faith and virtuous thoughts, was engaged in benefiting himself and others, was compassionate and served his parents. This Blessed One was born as a Bodhisattva. When the parents of the Brahmin Green grew old and their eyesight deteriorated, the parents requested King Brahma-datta to appoint the young Green as the royal chaplain, and we wish to go to the hermitage for asceticism. The king said to Green, "Be the royal chaplain." Green replied, "I am not fit to be the royal chaplain, I only wish to serve those who are old and weak and whose senses have declined." He abandoned the position of royal chaplain and the household like spitting out phlegm, and lived in the forest as a companion to his parents. He would get up early in the morning for his parents

He served with trees and pure water. After that, he performed the fire sacrifice and then entered the forest for fruits and roots. He would bring back fruits, roots, and cool water. After giving them to his parents, he would diligently meditate in one direction beside them, spending his time in this way. One day, he got up early in the morning, paid homage to his parents' feet, and said what he had seen in a dream: "In my dream, a black snake devoured its own body, and a black rope bound me and led me to the south. Seeing terrifying visions in the dream, my heart is filled with worry, and I think that an unbearable separation from my guru will occur." After he said this, his parents sighed, faced the sun, and prayed with truthful words, then took pills and went to fetch water. At that time, King Tsangsbyin set out to hunt in the forest and entered that forest of asceticism. The king was one who moved towards where sound was, so even though he did not see a form, he heard a sound like that of a wild animal. He drew his bow to his ear and shot, hitting the green one's heart. Although he fell to the ground after being hit in a vital spot by the arrow, he endured his suffering and grieved in his heart only for his parents, saying: "With one arrow, I and my father and mother, whose senses are weakened, all three of us are killed." When the king heard this, he asked: "How can one arrow kill three people?" Then the green one, crying with a pitiable voice, said: "My parents, who are more wretched than I, have become blind. And because I am struck by the arrow, three people will die." Then the king, terrified and frightened, said: "I, a Brahmin boy, have committed a wrong. I shot the arrow without knowing. Before he casts a curse on me, I should first ask forgiveness from his parents." Then the green one respectfully allowed the king to breathe. "Great king, if you have power over those who are close to me, you are compassionate, loving to beings, and mindful of the next world, so do not be daunted by a curse." He also said: "Where is my father, the guru?"
