He bound him and offered him to the enemy, so the prisoners were released, and he himself obtained the kingdom, which is similar to the previous situation. ༈ Furthermore, in the past, immeasurable eons ago, in this Jambudvipa, in the city of Varanasi, there was a king named Balamada, who, with his four divisions of troops, went to play in a garden. He encountered a wild animal and chased after it. The king went alone into the dense forest, dismounted from his horse and sat down. Then, a lioness came, drawn by desire, and met the king, wagging her tail and approaching him. The king also felt desire arise and thought: "This ferocious beast has the power to kill angry people, if I do not please her, my life may be in danger." So, with fear, he engaged in sexual intercourse with the lioness. After the lioness left, the servants arrived, greeted the king and took him back to the palace. That lioness, after being pregnant for months, gave birth to a child whose body was entirely like a human, but only the feet were mottled. The lioness thought that this was the king's son, so she carried him on her back to the king. The king also knew that this was his son, so he raised him and named him "Mottled Feet," he was brave and strong.

Then, he sent many people to destroy the shrine and level the ground. The deity guarding the shrine was very displeased and thought of harming the king. When he went, he was stopped by the deity guarding the palace and was not allowed to enter. At that time, a hermit living in the mountains was being offered to by King Foot-Increase. He would fly to the palace every day, eat only some ordinary food, and then leave. One day, the deity, knowing that the hermit would not come, transformed himself into the form of the hermit and came to the palace. He was stopped by the deity guarding the palace, who shouted at the gate, "I will not let you in." The king heard this and ordered him to be let in. After that, he no longer ate the usual food, but said, "This food is too bad; I want to eat meat and fish." That king made a vow in his heart: By the power of all the good deeds I have done in the past, and governing the country according to the Dharma, and all the merits of offering to ascetics, may I become a Rakshasa who can fly in the sky. As soon as he made the vow, he rose into the sky and said to the ministers: You tried to kill me, but my merits allowed me to save myself. From now on, you must endure me! I will eat all your wives and lovely children. After speaking, he flew away and landed on the mountain. From then on, he no longer ate human flesh. Many people were also afraid of him and always ran away and hid. That man-eating Rakshasa joined forces with many Rakshasas, and his retinue also became numerous. The Rakshasa's retinue said to the barefoot Rakshasa: We have become your retinue and servants, please give us a grand feast. He also agreed to them and discussed: Let's kill five hundred princes to hold a feast. They went to capture the kings and locked them in a cave. They found four hundred and ninety-nine, and were missing one. Those princes living in the cave said to each other: We are poor and helpless.
