All those beings who have been placed in Bodhi, having later received prophecies, those Buddhas who have become enlightened in other Buddha-fields will also praise you. Therefore, through those three causes, also say, "Noble being, you are good!" Having spoken thus, those two Bodhisattvas, and other nine hundred million kotis of Bodhisattvas, and two hundred million kotis of Bodhisattvas, came to this field to behold that noble being. Those noble beings declared as the Tathagata Jewel Moon had spoken. Similarly, from the world realms of the south, west, north, below, and above, other Tathagatas also came with many Bodhisattva retinues, and offerings of flowers and praises of "well done," which were also combined as before and spread extensively. At that time, that field was filled and pervaded by beings of the three vehicles and nagas, like a field of abundant harvest. Those flowers also fell like rain in Buddha-fields where Buddhas do not reside, and the field was filled with the sounds of the Three Jewels, Paramitas, Powers, and Fearlessnesses, and so forth. Then, the Bodhisattvas who had come to fully ripen sentient beings, having heard that sound, through the power of aspiration, the blessing of the Buddha, and the strength of Samadhi, came to this field and sat down to listen to the Dharma. Then, the Brahmin Ocean Dust offered those beautiful, immaculate, moon-colored flowers to the Tathagata Jewel Essence and requested: Venerable Bhagavan, please prophesy me to unexcelled, perfectly complete enlightenment. Then, the Tathagata Jewel Essence, having entered into the Samadhi called "Lamp of the Recitation of Samadhi," that Buddha-field became of the nature of the seven precious jewels, and all the mountains, trees, grass, and ground appeared as the nature of the seven precious jewels. All the sentient beings who were sitting to listen to the Dharma, in accordance with how they each individually contemplated virtuous qualities, some had yellow bodies, some had white bodies, and so on, with various colors, some were like wind, some were like fire. They also see appearances like the sky, mirages, water, mountains, Brahma, Indra, flowers, garudas, lions, the sun, the moon, stars, vultures, and foxes. Just as they see their own bodies, they also see the body of the Buddha. The Brahmin Ocean Dust sees the Tathagata sitting in front of him on the stamen of a thousand-petaled lotus made of the seven precious substances. Each sentient being, whether dwelling on the earth or in the sky, sees it in this way: 'The Tathagata is sitting in front of me, thinking of everyone with compassion, and teaching the Dharma to me alone.' Then, the Tathagata Precious Essence said "Well done" to the Brahmin Ocean Dust. 'Great Brahmin, endowed with great compassion, benefiting countless sentient beings, illuminating the world, you are endowed with compassion, well done, well done!' Brahmin, it is like a flourishing flower tree that has various colors, and similarly has fragrance and touch, petals, trunk, roots, various medicinal properties. Some of the flowers have colors and fragrances that reach a hundred yojanas, some reach two hundred yojanas, and so on up to three hundred yojanas. The color and fragrance of some flowers illuminate the entire world of the four continents. If those without eyes smell the fragrance of the flower, they will gain sight. If the deaf smell it, they will gain hearing. Those who have lost all their limbs will regain all their limbs. By smelling the fragrance, those afflicted by the four hundred and four diseases will be freed from illness. Any sentient beings who are intoxicated, fainted, confused, stiff, drunk, or whose minds are distracted and whose memory is impaired, will regain all their memory upon smelling the fragrance. Within that flower tree, there grows a white lotus, hard, solid, made of diamond, smooth, its stem is made of lapis lazuli, its petals are gold, its stamen is the essence of jewels, its filaments are red pearls, it is eighty-four thousand yojanas high and one million yojanas wide.

Become. The color and fragrance of that white lotus pervade the realms of the ten directions' worlds, as numerous as the dust particles in the Buddha-fields, becoming clear and bright. In those realms pervaded by it, whatever sentient beings' realms have bodies that are not harmonious, are afflicted by illness, have impaired limbs, are intoxicated, faint, fall asleep, are inebriated, have impaired memory, and those sentient beings whose minds are distracted, if they see and touch the light of that white lotus, all illnesses will be completely pacified, and they will also regain their memory. For those sentient beings who have died not long ago and whose bodies have not decayed, if they are struck by the rays of that white lotus or touch its fragrance, those corpses will also gain the power of life and stand up, seeing friends, relatives, and acquaintances, and then all enter the garden, abiding in the attainment and possession of the five desirable qualities. Furthermore, those who die and transmigrate from there will also be born in the pure realms of Brahma, where they will abide for immeasurable kalpas. And if, after dying and transmigrating from there, there is no further rebirth elsewhere, just as the Brahmin flower tree is, so too should this gathering of the Great Vehicle be regarded. Just as when the sun rises, those flowers open and bloom, becoming clear and bright, some trees spanning a hundred yojanas, others spanning a thousand yojanas, thereby completely pacifying the various illnesses of many sentient beings, so too in the world does the Buddha-sun, the Tathagata, the noble being, appear. Just as the sun's rays cause flowers to open and become bright, pacifying various illnesses, so too has the noble being, I, appeared in the world, spreading the rays of compassion to all sentient beings, causing them to open, and repeatedly connecting sentient beings with the three objects of meritorious action. Moreover, you have caused countless immeasurable sentient beings to enter the holding of complete enlightenment and offered them to me; all these, holding pure and impure Buddha-fields before me, I have also prophesied according to their respective aspirations. Those who, because they hold onto sentient beings who are to be tamed, thought, and are easy to tame, and cultivate roots of virtue, therefore, they should not be called Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, because they do not do the work of great holy beings. They do not engage with mind and mental events with great compassion, nor do they seek unsurpassed enlightenment for the sake of cherishing all sentient beings, but hold onto pure Buddha-fields and abandon cherishing. They are also not skilled in wisdom and thought. How so? Because I make aspirations to become enlightened in a Buddha-field that is devoid of Hearers, Solitary Realizers, the three lower realms, and those who lack roots of virtue, and only teach the words of the Great Vehicle, and remain for a long time, and teach the Dharma to sentient beings who are pure in thought and easy to tame. Therefore, they are not skilled in wisdom and thought, and should not be called great Bodhisattvas. Then, the Tathagata Jewel Essence extended his hand and emitted from his five fingers hundreds of thousands of rays of various colors. Those rays went in immeasurable, countless, and inconceivable directions, illuminating the Buddha-fields. Then, there is a world called "Thumb." The people there have a lifespan of ten years, are of bad complexion, are ugly, and possess roots of non-virtue. Their height is only the size of a thumb. There, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Complete Buddha named "Pleased with Stars" resides. The height of his body is equal to one cubit of the people of the age of strife, and one cubit and seven fingers of the people the size of thumbs. That Tathagata resides there, lives, and teaches the Dharma of the three vehicles to the fourfold assembly. Then, the assembly endowed with all saw that field, those people, and that Tathagata. The Tathagata Jewel Essence spoke, "That Tathagata Pleased with Stars, immeasurable countless eons ago, in the presence of the Tathagata Jewel Umbrella Manifestly Exalted, first generated the mind of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment."
