无数百千万俱胝安置于执持无上圆满菩提者，如来于彼等之前，如其所愿，摄持清净与不清净之佛土。彼大士亦令我入于执持无上圆满菩提，安住于彼。于彼处，我于如来之前，发愿于五浊具足之刹土成佛，如来赞善并授记菩提。其后，凡引人入菩提之善知识圣士，摄持五浊极盛、极烦恼之佛土，并以愿力摄持应调伏之造无间罪众生、具不善根者、心相续已坏者、入轮回荒野险境者。彼时，十方无量世界中安住之诸佛亦遣使赞善，并命名为大悲遍照寂静。吾之善知识、作饶益之菩萨摩诃萨大悲遍照寂静，不久前于小指世界中，在小指量之人中成佛。彼一肘高之如来，为小指量之人之三肘量之寿百岁众生转法轮。最初令入于执持无上圆满菩提之诸佛薄伽梵安住十方者，为供养彼而遣使。最初令入布施等波罗蜜多并善为安置之诸佛往昔所作者，亦献上供养彼如来之鲜花。婆罗门如何于清净刹土中为清净有情作佛事者，如来乐星亦如是于佛土极恶五浊炽盛之处获得成佛，并于短寿时为极不清净之有情作佛事。

Those who have placed countless billions of kotis in holding the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, the Tathagata, in front of them, holds the pure and impure Buddha-fields as they wish. Then, that great being also made me enter into holding the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment and made me abide in it. There, in front of that Tathagata, I made a prayer to attain enlightenment in a field endowed with the five degenerations. The Tathagata gave his approval and prophesied enlightenment. Then, the virtuous friend, the holy person who leads to enlightenment, took hold of the Buddha-field where the five degenerations are extremely rampant and extremely afflicted, and with the aspiration to subdue sentient beings who commit the five heinous crimes, who possess roots of non-virtue, whose minds are corrupted, and who have entered the desolate wilderness of samsara. At that time, the Buddhas who live and dwell in the immeasurable realms of the ten directions also sent messengers saying "Well done!" and named him Great Compassion, All-Illuminating Peace. My virtuous friend, the helpful Bodhisattva Mahasattva, Great Compassion, All-Illuminating Peace, has not long since attained enlightenment in the world of the thumb-sized beings, among people the size of a thumb. That one-cubit-tall Tathagata turns the wheel of Dharma for beings the size of a thumb, who are three cubits tall and have a lifespan of ten years. Those Buddhas, the Bhagavat who first caused him to enter into holding the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment and who abide in the ten directions, send messengers to him for the sake of offering. Those Buddhas who first caused him to enter into holding the perfections such as generosity and who arranged them well, those who fashioned the deeds of the past and who contemplated them, also send flowers of offering to that Tathagata. Just as the Brahmin performs the deeds of a Buddha for pure beings in a pure land, so too, the Tathagata Pleasing to the Stars, having attained Buddhahood in such a Buddha-field that is extremely evil and where the five degenerations are rampant, performs the deeds of a Buddha for extremely impure beings in a short life.

Especially, he performed many deeds of the Buddha, and see that he did not abandon the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, but taught the Dharma. Noble son, you also, in this way, because of vowing to take hold of sentient beings who possess extremely bad Buddha-fields and possess the five degenerations and possess roots of non-virtue, therefore, you have overwhelmed all these four assemblies of Bodhisattvas. Which Bodhisattvas? In pure lands that have abandoned the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and bad destinies, taking hold of sentient beings whose minds are pure and who have accumulated roots of virtue, such aspirations are called like flowers. Those who perform the deeds of the Buddha among those who are extremely subdued and have accumulated roots of virtue, they are not Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas like white lotuses. The objects of laziness of the Brahmin Bodhisattvas are four: wishing to be born in a pure land, wishing to do the deeds of the Buddha for sentient beings whose minds are pure, wishing not to teach the Dharma of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas after attaining enlightenment, and wishing to live long after attaining enlightenment. That is called like a flower, but it is not like a white lotus, nor is it called a great being, just like others except for the pervading wind in this assembly of Bodhisattvas. There are four objects of initiating diligence of the Bodhisattvas: wishing to be born in an impure Buddha-field, wishing to do the deeds of the Buddha for sentient beings whose minds are impure, teaching the Dharma of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas after attaining enlightenment, and wishing that life after attaining enlightenment should be neither too long nor too short, but to practice in the middle. Therefore, such people should be called white lotus Bodhisattvas, and should not be called like flowers, and should also be called Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas. Brahmin, you are now, by the power of aspiration, in the presence of the Tathagata, among countless Bodhisattvas, for example, like a compassionate white lotus, born in a field prophesied to be auspicious. Even particles as numerous as atoms give praise to you, the holy being. Having sent messengers, your name was designated as "Possessing Great Compassion." All this retinue also strives to make offerings to you. Possessing Great Compassion, in the future, after countless eons, after one eon like the sands of the Ganges has passed, when arriving at the second eon like the sands of the Ganges, in the Fortunate Eon, in the world realm of Saha, when the lifespan of beings reaches one hundred and twenty years, in a world filled with beings possessing roots of non-virtue, obtaining great suffering, committing the five heinous crimes, abandoning the sacred Dharma, slandering the noble ones, and so forth as previously mentioned, you will transform from the Tathagata, worthy one, perfectly enlightened one, to the Buddha, the Bhagavan. The wheel of beings will be turned back. The wheel of Dharma will be turned. The Mara of control and the Mara of afflictions will be vanquished. After filling the boundless Buddha fields of the ten directions with pleasant sounds, your great assembly of Shravakas will arise, like making aspirations together with twelve hundred and fifty monks, gradually completing all such deeds of the Buddha for forty-five years. At that time, just as the great king Amrita Pure will become Amitabha, and will perform all the deeds of the Buddha for immeasurable eons, likewise, you, possessing Great Compassion, will also become the Tathagata Shakyamuni in the Saha world realm in the Fortunate Eon, and will perform many such deeds of the Buddha for forty-five years. Even after your complete passing into Nirvana, the sacred Dharma will remain for more than a thousand years. After the Dharma declines, the relics born from the body will also perform many deeds of the Buddha, just as they themselves have made aspirations, and as previously mentioned, will tame beings for a long time, thus prophesied. One said, "O noble man, when you practice the conduct of enlightenment in those countless eons, I will also always attend and serve you. By providing loving resources and acting as a friend, I will serve you. When you become the last existence, I will become your father. When you attain enlightenment, I will become the supreme benefactor, and may you prophesy my unsurpassable enlightenment." Furthermore, the ocean goddess named Extremely Gentle also said as above, "In those countless eons, when you become the last existence, I will become the mother who raises you, and may you prophesy my unsurpassable enlightenment." Similarly, the star goddess Water Deity Practice also vowed to become the nursing mother in the last existence and receive the prophecy of unsurpassable enlightenment. Indra Bearer-of-a-Circle and Indra Other-Shore-Mind, these two, prayed to be the best of those with wisdom and miraculous powers. Indra Conduct-Practice Beautiful-View-Assembly vowed to become a son until the last existence. The mountain peak goddess Depa Kingśuka vowed to be your consort in those lifetimes, and may you prophesy my unsurpassable enlightenment. The lord of the asuras, Beautiful Conduct, vowed, "When you practice the conduct of a bodhisattva in those eons, I, O noble man, will become a servant who helps you with loving resources, serving you, and even in becoming the last existence, I will serve you. After you attain enlightenment, I will also request you to turn the wheel of Dharma, and I will first make the Dharma you teach fruitful, and also drink the essence of the Dharma, realize immortality, and even attain the state of an arhat who has abandoned all afflictions." Similarly, the gods, nagas, and asuras, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, also made aspirations to follow the conduct of that one who possesses great compassion.
