Like Rahu seizing the sun and moon, may all such things be cleared away downwards through the ritual of cleansing, bathing, and auspicious connection. May the stains of impurity, defilement, sin, and obscuration, along with the three feuds, resentment, jealousy, and faults of wrongdoing, All that is contrary to the hearts of the protectors, guardians, gods, be purified through the power of the profound and accomplished cleansing ritual. May the dimness of defilement, attachment, and ignorance be cleansed, and may inauspicious circumstances, obstacles, diseases, and evil spirits be pacified. May the harm of opposing forces and curses be averted. May all desired wishes be fulfilled as desired. May longevity, health, and prosperity increase, and may the land and realm be peaceful, prosperous, and auspicious. May it become a cause for attaining the supreme enlightenment. The ritual of cleansing, called "The Source of All Goodness," is complete. Then, entering into the actual ritual of offering the feast of ransom, at the time of offering to each of the guest categories, the drawn thread of the cleansing offering, various foods, and offering grains are placed and arranged in vessels. Scattering the offerings, sprinkling water and wine, and on top of the wooden cleansing object, scattering tsampa, grains, various flowers, and burning powdered jewels with the sound of musical instruments, one recites thus: Hūṃ! Lama, Yidam, and Dakini, Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, Peaceful, Increasing, Powerful, and Wrathful Deities, Inner and Outer Protector Assemblies, Secret Mantra and Vidya Deities, Past, Future, and Present, Inner and Outer Oath-Bound Protectors, Matriarchs, Dakinis, and Swift-Moving Mothers, The most excellent of worldly places, All great blessings of practice places, Furthermore, below the earth and above the earth, All great lords of the place, And the Eight Classes belonging to the retinue, With power and strength pervading the three thousand worlds, All great and powerful ones, All powerful protectors of monasteries and solitary places, Furthermore, gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, rakshasas, dakinis, etc., All guests worthy of offering, All earth lords and powerful nagas, Protecting the Buddha's teachings, Assisting in the activity of practice, Clearing away obstacles from monasteries, Destroying enemies and obstructing forces, Pacifying diseases, evil spirits, and harm, etc., Averting attachment and fear, For the sake of accomplishing all desires, Inviting the guests to come to this place, Come here and accept the arranged offerings.
