If I encounter a plague or war, the king, the one crowned from the royal lineage, should generate a mind of loving-kindness towards all sentient beings. All prisoners should be released, and as mentioned above, such offerings should be made to the Bhagavan Medicine Guru Vaiduryaprabharaja. Then, through the king's roots of virtue and the special power of the past aspirations of the Bhagavan Medicine Guru Vaiduryaprabharaja, the country will be peaceful, the years will be prosperous, there will be timely rain and wind, and crops will flourish. All sentient beings residing in that country will be without disease, happy, and supremely joyful. In that country, yakshas, rakshasas, spirits, and fierce flesh-eaters will not harm sentient beings. All inauspicious omens will not appear. That king's life, complexion, strength, health, and power will visibly increase. Such teachings and others have been spoken by the Blessed One. Since the words of the Noble One are true and reliable, just as you have promised, today also please descend into this mandala of the palace where offerings are gathered, accept the offerings, and from the samaya of the assembled Tathagatas, remember and accomplish the activities of completely fulfilling the Sutra rituals. May all the benefits spoken of in this Sutra be obtained by all sentient beings, including myself, please bless and grant it. Please liberate us from suffering, pacify diseases, death, political decline, and other disasters, and may the prayer for bringing happiness and prosperity be fulfilled. The Man offering. We have also directly seen the Tathagatas and made offerings. Furthermore, Blessed One, wherever the names of the Tathagatas and the words of the dharani are used, we will be present there with our retinues. Any son or daughter of good family who upholds, recites, makes offerings, or has them written, we will be harmoniously together. To the son or daughter of good family, king, or minister of the king who holds and inquires about the king of sutras, we will protect them with the blessings of the Tathagatas. We will completely protect towns, cities, and regions. We will thoroughly pacify all deaths, enemies, harms from monasteries, and diseases. We are loving towards the Tathagatas and all sentient beings, and we are grateful, so we will avert all untimely deaths. We will thoroughly pacify all fights, quarrels, lawsuits, and debates. May all wishes be fulfilled as desired, and may mind and body be at ease, and may enjoyment, power, wealth, and grains increase. We will protect in all ways. Yes, that will not revert from the unsurpassed perfect Buddha. One will be born in those Buddhafields as desired. One will see the Tathagata. One will remember past lives. Then, the Bodhisattva Vajrapani said to those Tathagatas: “For the sake of those who hold the King of Sutras, I will grant the basis of the secret mantra of dharani. In particular, in order to ensure the long-lasting prosperity of the holy Dharma, such as the sutras that elaborate on the special aspirations of the seven Tathagatas, may all obstacles and hindrances to those who practice Dharma from all directions, and all that belongs to the demonic side, as well as the spreading of human and livestock diseases, droughts, frosts, and hailstorms in the region, causing crop failures, and bringing harm, inauspicious signs, and many unlucky events, and all the various kinds of evil spirits that harbor hatred towards sentient beings, all that wander and dwell in this land, and any name, or we, due to the compulsion of past karma, or due to temporary circumstances, or due to the evil spirits of the region, family, and lineage, whether it is a name, or any aspect of our bodies, lives, political power, authority, retinue, and possessions, may all the evil spirits that cause harm in any way be subdued by appropriate means. May they be made to abandon their hatred and harmful intentions, and transform into beings with peaceful, virtuous, and loving minds, and may they destroy and abandon the inauspicious and harmful actions they have done in the past. May they not commit any harmful actions in the future, be strictly restrained by the sacred vows of their respective lineages, and grant a great oath before the assembly. May you accomplish such activities. May the blessings of immeasurable wisdom, compassion, and power, through the commitment of Guhyapati (Vajrapani) and others, the granting of dharanis, and the exposition of the means of accomplishing Vajrapani, be enjoyed by us and all beings today.
