I, with a spoon. Pour the ghee into the spoon. Recite the mantra once, pouring seven times. Om Agnaye Svaha. The two elbows should not leave the knees. Perform the scooping and pouring action. Circle the opening of the stove clockwise. Visualize doing it three times. Om Agnaye Hava Ya Ka Ya Va Ha Na Ya A Di Ya Svaha. With this mantra, pour the ghee into the spoon. Offer like this three or seven times. The smoke rises blue. The flame is white and burns upwards. No bad smell, etc., are good signs. The flame is black and the smoke is thick. If bad signs appear. Recite the mantra of Hayagriva. Sprinkle it with water from the activity vase. The light rays from the heart of the fire god. Summon the deceased, and the sins and obstacles. Guided by the light rays, merge into the burning offerings. After merging, the fire god accepts the offerings. If it is a good person. Merge the sins and obstacles of all sentient beings. Pinch the burning offerings with the thumb and ring finger to offer. At the beginning of the mantras of all burning offerings. Add Om Agnaye Deva, and offer arrowroot wood and Bodhi tree. Thinking of the tip of the arrowroot wood pointing upwards, offer it. Om Bodhi Biksha Ya Svaha. For the complete glory of the deceased, all obstructing sins and obstacles, Shantim Kuru Svaha. Obstructing the attainment of a complete rebirth in the next life, etc. For black sesame seeds. Om Sarva Papam Daha Na Vajra Ye Svaha. All the sins of the deceased, etc. For white mustard seeds. Om Sarva Artha Siddha Ye Svaha. The fear of the bardo of the deceased, etc. The best food is vegetarian, salt, ghee, and various other foods. Om Sarva Sambade Svaha. The complete bliss of the deceased, all obstructing sins, etc. Durva is licorice. Om Vajra Ayushe Svaha. The complete longevity of the deceased in the next life, all obstructing sins, etc. For barley. Om Maha Vega Ya Svaha. The deceased going to the pure land, all obstructing the attainment of rapid power, etc. For wheat. Om Vajra Ghasmare Svaha. The deceased being free from illness in the next life, complete.
