Even if there are any qualities in one's own continuum, do not grasp them as 'I' or 'mine.' Do not have attachment or arrogance. The intermediate attachments, such as body and life, lifespan and breath, strength and glory, radiance and complexion, flesh and blood, etc., do not cling to anything precious as 'mine,' but abandon them like vomiting out filth. Discard them like throwing away feces. Cast them away like spitting out mucus. Because I have no need for them, and there is not even a speck of attachment, let whoever likes take them, and remain in that state. The practice of the sixth night is: First, when going to Chö (severance practice), go like a lion without fear, go like a tigress with ferocity, and go like a waterfall from a cliff without obstruction. These are the three. The first, going like a lion, is: Even if enemies arise from the peak of existence above to the hell of Naraka below, think that awareness is the magic of the mind, and there is not even a moment of true establishment. In this state, go without fear or apprehension. The second, going like a tigress, is: Possessing the experience of understanding emptiness, and possessing the wisdom of knowing non-reality, in this state, issue a roar to awareness, exert wisdom to the fullest, bring forth radiance to the senses, display coarse behavior, and go while making the sound "ཕཊཿ" (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: snap!). The third, going like a waterfall from a cliff, is: No matter what fear or apprehension arises, do not be lost in that state, without hesitation or doubt, go like a mad elephant, like a lightning strike, like a waterfall from a cliff without obstruction. Having arrived, the practice is: Subduing the gods and demons below, entrusting the conceptual thoughts below, and extracting self-grasping from the object. These are the three. The first is subduing the gods and demons below, which is using poison to counteract poison. Sitting on the water's edge, on a rock, on a tree, or on any support where gods and demons reside, in this way, the gods and demons will come forth with great force. For example, if a house dog goes to catch a dog it has never caught before, it will run away. Generally speaking, for an ordinary person who has no practice of profound pith instructions, when he goes to sleep at night, as soon as a god or demon comes into the room where he is sleeping, that person will be very afraid, consciousness will become blurred, and he will feel cold, etc. This is the power of the gods and demons. The Chö practitioner goes to any support where gods and demons reside, and the power, ability, and glory of the obstructing demons will disappear, and all miraculous powers will be pacified and go away.

For example, if elaeagnus angustifolia is placed at the entrance of a poisonous snake's nest, the snake's venom will subside and its power will become empty, as if it were not there. Second, entrusting conceptual thoughts to the letter "A" (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, literal Chinese meaning: A): First, one cannot go to dangerous places; in the middle, one cannot sleep; and finally, one cannot give up one's own body, etc. When such situations occur, for those things that one cannot do, put the feeling of fear at the forefront; if there is fear, go towards the fear; if one is afraid, lie down on the fear, and in this way, the arrogance of intelligence will be cut off; one will be liberated from the shackles of self-grasping; the false cave of fear will collapse; and the feelings of fear and dread will disappear. For example, like a horse or a donkey, or like a yak and a dzo, which do not listen to walking on a bridge or a very narrow path, force them to walk there, and afterwards they will walk without hesitation. Third, extracting self-grasping from its object: Those who are afraid, those who are shy, those who cannot do, those who dare not do, etc., where are these people? What is their essence? Look carefully, just follow awareness, like an old woman pointing the way, and thoroughly investigate its root. By doing this, self-grasping will disappear without support, becoming false and unreal, so abide in that state. The practice of the seventh night: First, when going to a dangerous place, one should go through four ways: the body should be like a corpse; the dangerous place should be like a cemetery; one should be like gods, demons, jackals, and wolves; and think: whoever wants this tattered corpse, let them take it! Thinking in this way, go. Upon arrival, practice: In view, there is no self-grasping; in meditation, there is no mental fabrication; in conduct, there is no acceptance or rejection; in vows, there are no boundaries to protect; in result, there is nothing to be accomplished. Among these five aspects, first, the view is neither permanent nor annihilated, neither arising nor ceasing, without beginning or end. Therefore, regard it as a beneficial deity, make offerings and sacrifices, and do not expect to attain accomplishments. Regard it as a harmful ghost, drive it away, and do not fear what may happen in the future, without any acceptance or rejection or expectation, abide in this state. Second, meditation is originally emptiness, the three spheres are originally emptiness, liberation, and great purity, abide in this state without any fabrication, and do not fear the sudden appearance of harm from gods and demons, obstacles, etc. Third, in conduct, there are no ten virtues to be practiced, and no ten non-virtues to be abandoned, therefore, without any acceptance or rejection of virtue or non-virtue, the basis is not
