The sun of clarity shines all around, The foundation of Mahamudra meditation is firmly established. It is said that without this, realization cannot reach its peak, Like a fortress without ignorance, it is majestic. However, being too attached to this is also the work of demons, Most who are ignorant but claim to be diligent, Are often deceived by false virtues, Leading themselves and others astray into paths of suffering. Even if the experience is good, blissful, clear, and non-conceptual, If there is clinging, it is still the cause of samsara. With devotion, drive a stake into the heart, When awareness and marrow become one, From the transference of the meaning lineage of blessings, Not falling into the four pitfalls, Nor falling into the three wrong paths. Transcending the four joys, free from the three conditions, Connected by the three ways of arising, Not touched by the minds of the three great ones, The natural disposition unstained by experience. Like the center of a cloudless sky, Self-knowing, self-illuminating, beyond words. It is the incomparable non-conceptual wisdom, Which is the naked ordinary consciousness itself. Not lingering in the realm of understanding and courage, It is seen supremely in the Dharmakaya. The objects of the six consciousnesses are like the moon in water, Pacified in the state of wisdom. Whatever arises spontaneously, the original state without fabrication, Whatever appears is the nature of Mahamudra. Phenomena and existence are the great bliss of Dharmakaya, Shamatha, the naturally abiding meditation, And Vipassana, the seeing without seeing, On all that dwells, moves, and is known, Not separate but united. Thoughts and delusions need not be abandoned, Antidotal virtuous practices need not be cultivated, The time will come when you arrive at your original place. When grasping the self-nature of realization, There is nothing that is not meditation, In the realm of separation And attainment, Meditation itself no longer exists, But for those whose subtle distinctions of mind have not yet disappeared, Meditation is especially cherished for beginners. From meditation, experience arises, Experience appears as the adornment of wisdom. If you want to distinguish the differences in the path, there are four yogas, Mind recognizing its own nature is single-pointed concentration. From the stages of small, medium, and great, The nature of bliss and clarity is seen alternately. Obtain freedom in the samadhi of equipoise, Experience luminosity, appearances revolving. Realizing that the mind is separate from its root is freedom from elaboration, From the differences of small, medium, and great, Realize that the three of arising, ceasing, and abiding are empty. Sever the root of grasping the subject and object, grasping emptiness, Cut off the superimpositions of elaboration on all dharmas, Appearances and mind are mixed as one taste.

In the stages of, the combined two dharmas are mixed with equal taste. Appearance and mind are like water placed in water, from one taste Many wisdoms arise. When the mind is completely exhausted, it is non-meditation. In the stages of small, medium, and large, Free from what is to be meditated on and who is meditating, the habitual tendencies of the cognitive obscurations are gradually purified, and when the mother and child of clear light merge, The Dharmadhatu expands into the realm of wisdom. In short, in equanimity, The mind abiding as it wishes is single-pointed concentration, seeing the self-nature of ordinary consciousness, Realizing in the groundlessness is free from elaboration. All those who cling to duality, Are liberated upon awareness, which is of one taste, transcending all talk of meditation and non-meditation. When habitual tendencies are exhausted, it is called non-meditation. In the place of the great lord of yoga, From Naropa and Maitri, until The venerable Lama Pema Wangchen, all the masters of the Kagyu lineage, the golden rosary, Have gone to the throne of the non-meditation Dharmakaya. The darkness of the two obscurations is cleared in the Dharmadhatu, The great power of the two wisdoms increases, opening the treasure of benefiting others that pervades space, Abiding in a refuge free from doubt. The Kagyu lineage is interdependent, This is not just words, the real meaning is clear. Even foolish ordinary beings like me, Because they hold the signs of your lineage, venerable one, quickly lead to the throne of non-meditation. Kind one, please make the mind completely exhausted! The result, the great seal, Is the self-nature of the three kayas that are inherent in the ground. If the key points of the view and meditation of the path are struck, The result, the stainless three kayas, will become manifest. The essence is emptiness, the non-elaborate Dharmakaya, The radiance is the naturally clear Sambhogakaya, the ability is the various unobstructed Nirmanakaya, Is the pervading lord of all things, the great seal of co-emergent nature. Without abandonment or attainment is the Dharmadhatu, possessing the youthfulness of stainless bliss, The enjoyment of wisdom is vast, the self-image of compassion Is beyond thought. With wisdom, one does not abide in existence, With compassion, one does not abide in peace, effortless activity is spontaneously accomplished. The clear light of the ground and path merge like mother and child, the ground and result are both satisfied, Buddhahood is found from one's own mind, the treasure of needs and desires arises from within. Ema, wonderful, truly wonderful! In the view of the great seal, There is no room for the debate of "this is it."
