Remaining in that state also arises from having practiced well in many lifetimes before entering the path. The yogini practitioner said: "Faith arises correctly, the yogi who dwells in diligence, in hundreds of millions of lifetimes, is urged by my wisdom." Thus it is said. Secondly, knowing the key points of the channels, winds, and bindus, dwelling in the practice of Samantabhadra, and obtaining heat, one dwells in the path of application itself. At that time, by practicing asceticism, one progresses on the path of application and applies it to the path of seeing. This is the individual collection, and it is the path with four dhyanas. It is also said that the channel is purification. It is said that by perfecting the limbs of dhyana, one obtains the five clairvoyances. One enters the mandala of the body. Thus it is said. On top of the former, having well understood the method of binding the key points of the channels, winds, and bindus, continuously cultivating the experience of the completion stage, like wisdom, is the practice of Samantabhadra. Dwelling in this, from obtaining the experience of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, symbolized by signs of heat and so on, it is the proximate cause for applying to the path of seeing, so it is dwelling in the path of application itself. The boundary of the path of application is from entering the special experience of the completion stage. The meaning of the words is: because it is the path that actually applies to the path of seeing, it is called the path of application, and the ability to quickly generate the path of seeing manifests, so it is called heat. Here, there are other signs of heat as well. In the Two Examinations Sutra, it says: "Fear, madness, as well as suffering, sorrow, and tormenting pain," it is said that not being harmed by these is a sign of small heat. "Great attachment, hatred, and delusion, the practitioner himself is not overcome by afflictions," it is said that not being harmed even by afflictions caused by great causes is a sign of medium heat. "The arising of the fruit of benefit and harm," it is said that the fruit of samadhi, the accomplishment of direct perception, miraculous powers, etc., is a sign of great heat. These three are also the same in essence as the three points of heat, peak, and forbearance spoken of in the Paramita Vehicle. At the time of obtaining heat, for the practice of increasing and purifying it, there are two types: with characteristics and without characteristics. Among them, with characteristics is mixing with external conditions, relying on the first three seals, clear

Through actions, these preparatory paths are gradually traversed, thereby connecting with the path of seeing. If one does not wish to engage in actions with characteristics, then one can also rely on the extremely non-characteristic inner practice, Mahamudra, to train on that path, as stated in the tantras. The characteristic of this preparatory path is the instruction on gathering various conceptual thoughts and the instruction on meditative concentration, where the mind remains in a single focus. This is the most important path with four branches. Physical isolation is the practice of the body Vajra's guidance. Primarily, it binds the function of the channels, so it is also said that the channels are the path to be trained. Therefore, training the channel path must also emphasize the practice of wind, so the practice of the speech Vajra's life-force retention is also like this. By fully meditating on the five branches of meditative concentration, it is said that one obtains the causes for the five eyes of cause and the five or six clairvoyances. As it is said in the King of Tantras: "The five clairvoyances will be obtained, O lord of men, through the purity of meditative concentration and practice." This is mainly because the channels become pure, thus entering the body mandala out of the three mandalas of body, speech, and mind, therefore it is also called the body Vajra and the emanation body at the time of the path. The third is: "Then, through being endowed with the union of life-force exertion, one connects with the path of seeing. Through the power of constant holding, one truly enters Vajrasattva. This is called wind yoga." It is said that after obtaining the preparatory path, because of the purification of wind, one is endowed with the practice of life-force exertion and holding, which is called the door of the speech mandala. Through relying on the extremely skilled practice of the movement of wind in the chakras of the channels, when one is able to stop one out of the twelve times in a day, at that time, the number of drops is able to bind without leakage in the secret wheel of the lotus-possessing channel, therefore one hundred and eighteen conceptual thoughts are purified into wisdom, and one obtains control over clairvoyance and magical powers that extend to the ultimate limit, including hundreds of thousands of millions of world realms. This is the benefit of obtaining the path of seeing. By meditating on the preparatory path, one will obtain the path of seeing that is endowed with those benefits just mentioned, which is indicated by the word "to connect with it." Its
