Therefore, regarding the two types of central channels, the one meditated upon and the one that abides, as some say, the former is the object of experience for yogis' samadhi, while the latter is believed by some to abide in the center of the body from birth until death, disappearing at the time of death; some believe it to be like a pillar; others believe that in the center of the pillar there is something like a horse's tail; and still others believe that it does not exist at all. These are not in accordance with the tantras and scriptures that are pure in the three examinations, and as the Seventh Je father and son said, they are self-fabricated. The essence of the view of Kunkhyen Rangjung Dorje is: Abiding in the central part of the body, since there is no duality of grasper and grasped, method and wisdom are inseparable. Adorned with the six chakras of the channels, in the center of the crown is (Tibetan: ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Ham), and at the junction of the three channels below the navel, it is also adorned with A-shad (Tibetan: ཨ་ཤད་). Above, it represents the Brahma aperture and the space between the eyebrows of the wrathful deities, and below, it abides on the tip of the male vajra jewel and the pistil of the female lotus. Above the navel is filled with wind, and below the junction of the three channels below the navel is filled with the nature of the wisdom mother, the moon bodhicitta. Therefore, in the Kalachakra it is said, "Above Rahu, below time-fire." Thus it is taught from beginning to end. The function is that the ghee causes the bodhicitta to descend and gives rise to coemergent bliss, therefore it is known as Kundalini, and above, between A (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: A) and Ham (Tibetan: ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Ham) there is the wind of Rahu, or the life-wind of sentient beings abides. In reality, all the winds of karma and wisdom depend on that central channel, therefore it is the life-channel that sustains sentient beings. Therefore, the root of all wisdom is the alaya-jnana, The root of all consciousnesses is the alaya-vijnana. Therefore, these two are not different, just as ordinary consciousness is called the Tathagatagarbha from the aspect of being the cause of Buddhahood. The root of all wisdom is the central channel, and the root of all samsara is the life-channel, therefore it is reasonable to call these two inseparable the life-channel from the aspect of the life-wind relying on the Rahu channel. The root of all wisdom-winds is the indestructible wind, and the root of all karma-winds is the great life-wind. Therefore, these two are mixed like water and milk, and it is also reasonable to call the Rahu wind the life-wind from the aspect of sustaining life.

Therefore, in the ground state, taking the indivisible central channel and life channel as the key point, practicing this path, in the resultant state, all channels are completely purified and become the sole central channel, which is like the life and essence of definitive Dharma. The names for this are: Avadhuti (藏文), meaning the one who shakes everything; the subtle body; Sumana; the inner single tree; Brahma's staff, and so on. Lord Unmoving Father and Son (Tsongkhapa and his disciples) divided the central channel of the ground, path, and result into three. The central channel of the ground is: the impure central channel or life channel of the body, which pervades the lineage, or cause, or realm of the pure central channel of the resultant state. The central channel of the path is: through practicing finger retraction and so on, the wind-mind slightly enters the door of the inner central channel, thereby appearing externally as an empty form. This is the time channel and Rekha, called lines in Tibetan, which is a black, hair-thin, immaculate, radiant image. The central channel of the result state is: abiding in the other supreme Vajra body, it is the nature free from obscurations. Second, explaining the two channels, right and left, divided into two: the text, and combining it with the scriptural authority that explains the text. First is the text: The two channels, right and left, separate from the navel and connect to the kidneys. Then they slightly converge in the heart. Passing through the armpits, they reach the throat. From the small tip, they connect to the crown of the head. The two nostrils appear upwards. The three converge and separate below, and are responsible for expelling and retaining blood and excrement. The right channel, Roma, is responsible for expelling and retaining blood. The left channel, Kyangma, is responsible for expelling and retaining urine. It is said that above the navel is where the wind moves. There are sixty-four channels in the navel. They nourish and grow all the inner and outer winds. Thus it is said. These two, the right channel Roma and the left channel Kyangma, separate from four fingers below the navel, converge at the navel and then separate, connecting to the large channels of the kidneys, and then again slightly converge in the heart, connecting to the yellow on the right and Ida on the left, and also pass through the large channels under the armpits, that is, the heart channel subduing dust, converging at the throat. After becoming a small tip, they pass under the ears, entering the brain like tree roots. Connecting to the Brahma aperture at the crown of the head, they therefore pervade all the doors of the senses. Especially the nose
