To the master of speech, the lama, to the body with form, to the body of great bliss, I prostrate, vowing to explain. Firstly, there are two parts: the scribe's perspective and the author's homage. The first is: I prostrate to glorious Vajradhara. It is said that the sound "Śrī" (Sanskrit Devanagari, Śrī, meaning auspiciousness) implies that auspiciousness is non-dual or worthy of reliance. As stated in the Hevajra Tantra: "Śrī (Sanskrit Devanagari, Śrī, meaning auspiciousness) is non-dual wisdom." Also, from the root of the word "Śriñu" means to rely on. As explained, the distinction of qualities becomes the auspiciousness of existence and peace. Furthermore, the essence of appearance and emptiness, skillful means and wisdom, body and primordial wisdom being non-dual, that auspiciousness itself is also Vajra, as it is said: "Vajra is said to be indestructible." With the certainty of these words, since they are held without separation, it is glorious Vajradhara. Or, since they are to be relied upon as non-dual, it is glorious Vajradhara. To that, I respectfully prostrate. Thus it is. Relating this to the three, ground, path, and result, "I prostrate" is drawn as the basis for explaining all three. To whom? At the time of the ground, it becomes the auspiciousness of both cyclic existence and nirvana, and the Vajra, in which appearance and emptiness are inseparable, is held in the manner of co-emergence, which is the mind-essence that is naturally luminous. At the time of the path, it possesses the auspiciousness of great compassion without object and the supreme of all aspects, and the Vajra in which emptiness is non-dual, the skillful means and wisdom are held by the mind-essence in the manner of self-awareness. At the time of the result, it becomes the auspiciousness worthy of praise in all places of existence and peace, the ultimate Dharmakaya that is indestructible, and the conventional form body of other appearances, the mind-essence held in the union of Vajra, inseparable from the manner of the sun and its rays. At the time, in order to thoroughly explain the necessity at the beginning of composing the treatise, the Victorious Rangjung Dorje said, paying homage with the three doors of body, speech, and mind with reverence, likewise, we should also first pay homage before engaging in teaching and listening. The second is: Omniscient and all-seeing, showing the very nature of the three, outer, inner, and other, dispelling the confusion of the four states, I prostrate to the glorious Lama. It is said that all phenomena, as they are and as many as they are,

Possessing perfect realization through one's own wisdom, without relying on others' symbols and conceptualizations. Also, possessing perfect abandonment, as the omniscient one directly sees the reality or nature of all phenomena without obscuration, which is the quality of wisdom. And the external world, the internal vajra body, the three other wheels of the mandala, and the suchness of these, the great seal, the wisdom of indivisibility of bliss and emptiness, showing it to other disciples as one directly sees it oneself, possessing the quality of compassion. Thus, the appearances of the external, internal, and other three are not established as they appear, but by showing suchness as reality, knowing what is to be purified, what purifies, the purifier, and the result of purification, being skilled in the means of striving on the path, clearing away the stains of delusion in the four states of sleep, dreams, samadhi, and wakefulness in the minds of disciples, and causing them to attain the fruit of the four kayas, possessing the quality of power. In short, possessing the qualities of perfect benefit for oneself and others. As it is said in the King of Tantras: "The face of the Buddha, in whose heart and face it abides, that is the glorious lama." As it is said, the Buddha, represented by the four faces of the Wheel of Time, the meaning of the four empowerments, the coemergent wisdom is absorbed into the heart by the power of practice, and shown to disciples through the door of the face, therefore possessing such glory, and since there is nothing above the sound of Uttara, it is the lama. To that nature of the embodiment of all Buddhas, I prostrate with reverence. So it is said. Here, the self-commentary says, "Seeing separately from wisdom," which is not a repetition of words, but to distinguish those who merely rely on the words of others and claim to be omniscient, such as Brahma and Vishnu, it is said to mean completely abandoning obscurations and possessing the qualities of abandonment and realization. At this time, the oral tradition records of Khedrup Dag Ram and Kunkhyen Dharma Kara are consistent in meaning. Omniscience is the clear knowledge of all objects of knowledge without confusion, which is conventional wisdom. All-seeing is the reality as it is, that is, the suchness of all dharmas, seeing it nakedly without obscuration, which is the ultimate seeing, and therefore it is explained as having two wisdoms. In the commentary of Dagpo
