Because it goes downwards, it causes diseases in the lower body. These three diseases are also rooted in the three poisons. Because the continuum possesses ignorance, it generates phlegm; because the continuum is accompanied by hatred, it generates bile; because the continuum possesses desire, it generates wind, therefore wind disease is the assistant for the generation and increase of all diseases. As the great scholar Hero (dpa' bo) said: "Desire, hatred, and ignorance are the cause of generating wind, bile, and phlegm." Third, water, fire, and wind are diseases. Thus, one line is spoken. Like this, water, fire, and wind cause diseases and are the cause of the destruction of the body. Because these three are the main factors in disturbing the aggregates. Second, the reason for it causing harm is: "The body becomes sick, and so does the mind; joy and discrimination waver. The three are faults of meditation, and the world is destroyed by their cause." Thus it is said that these three faults not only cause harm to the body, but also cause joy, discrimination, and wavering of thoughts in the mind, thereby generating three faults of meditation. That is to say, the residue of the sun generates diseases of blood and bile in the body, and generates faults of meditation like fire in the mind. Similarly, the residue of the moon generates diseases of phlegm in the body, and generates joy like water in the mind. The residue of Rahu generates diseases of wind in the body, and generates wavering thoughts like wind in the mind, and because of the cause of these three faults, the outer container world will be destroyed. Because the first dhyana is the peak of destruction by fire, everything below that is destroyed by fire. Similarly, the second dhyana is water, and the third dhyana is wind, because they possess the three corresponding internal faults of meditation, they are the cause of destruction. The reason why the fourth dhyana cannot be destroyed by fire, water, and wind is that although it is not moved by the three faults, it is not constant, so it is said that the arising and destruction of the container and its contents are the same. Third, the method of eliminating the faults is: "Space and earth are the basis of the two, and there is no fault. Therefore, the wise know the key points of the two and eliminate the three faults." Thus it is said that outside is space.

Just as the support of the container is the earth, the inner space and earth element are the support for the existence of both body and mind, and the fault of the destruction of the outer and inner container and essence is not present in these two. Therefore, in order to eliminate obstacles, the skilled should understand the key points of the qualities of these two, space and earth, and thereby destroy the faults of water, fire, and wind. The key point is also that the lower wind is the earth element and the upper wind is the space element. If the lower wind is contracted, there is the fault of wind, and if the upper wind is blocked, there is the fault of phlegm and water, and if both are expelled, the fault of bile and fire can be eliminated. Third, the conclusion is divided into two: summarizing the meaning of this chapter itself and summarizing the common meaning of the three chapters. The first is divided into two: summarizing the meaning by showing faults and qualities, and summarizing the meaning by showing the necessity. The first is: Thus, the bindus of substance, mantra, and wind, are related to ignorance, and it is said that they generate samsara, and because they are grasped by method, they are said to be the antidote. Thus it is said, the bindu of the five elements of substance, and the bindu of the imagined mantra, and the bindu of the other-powered wind, that is, these three bindus of the base time, are interconnected and interdependent with co-emergent ignorance, and are defiled by dualistic grasping, and are impure and dripping in the nature of self-awareness, and so on, therefore it is said to be the basis for generating the faults of samsara. And that which binds it, is grasped by the method of the supreme guru's oral instructions, therefore it is also said to be the antidote to destroy samsara. As it is said in the Two Examinations Tantra: The actions of endless beings, by whatever is bound, if with means, then by that itself, one will be liberated from the bonds of existence. And so on, as it is said. The second is divided into two: connecting the context, and the necessity of meditating on the bindus of substance, mantra, and wind. The first is: The reason for meditating is also, by the Bhagavan Vajrasattva, thus it is said. The reason for meditating by combining the binding substance, mantra, and wind with the three to be tamed is that the Bhagavan Vajrasattva spoke this quote in the Vajra Garland Tantra. Thus it is said. The second is: For a long time, controlled by great attachment, beings born in the three realms, those liberated

For the sake of this, the material bindu is taught. Because of being controlled by great hatred, whoever is born into the body of an untamed one, in order to quickly liberate them, the mantra bindu is taught. Because of being completely deluded by great ignorance, in order to protect the three realms of existence, in order to obtain the eight fruits of accomplishment, in order to obtain the fruit of wisdom, the wind bindu is taught. Thus it is said. The "whoever" in between is a qualifier, so it can be applied to all three bindus. Whoever, from beginningless time, has been controlled by great desire for a long time, and is born in the three realms of desire, form, and formlessness due to karma and afflictions, in order to liberate their lineage from the cause and effect of desire, it is said to meditate on the white and red material bindu. Whoever is controlled by great hatred and is born as an untamed being, in order to quickly liberate their lineage from that, the sequence of meditating on the pervasively conceived mantra bindu is taught. Whoever is completely deluded by great ignorance, in order to protect them from the birthplaces of the three realms of existence, in order to obtain the eight fruits of accomplishment such as wish-fulfilling jewels and eye medicine, and in order to obtain the fruit of wisdom that possesses all qualities, in order for it to appear manifestly to their own sense consciousness, it is said to meditate on the wind bindu. Here, adding the word "great" before all three poisons is to explain that the three poisons are very extensive, but this is not the same as using terms such as "great desire" to indicate the wisdom that subdues the three poisons. Second, summarizing the common meaning of the three chapters: Thus, the three, channels, winds, and bindus, appear as interdependent, and are called the support, the vajra body. Thus it is said. Thus, the three, channels, winds, and bindus, taught in the three chapters, from the provisional meaning, the wind relies on the channels, the bindu relies on the wind, and so on; from the definitive meaning, because they appear in the appearance aspect of the mind, they appear as interdependent phenomena, and because they are the support of coemergent wisdom, they are the vajra body. This is said in the general unexcelled tantra and especially in the second examination. In the great bliss of the lotus of the consort, showing thirty
