The nature of the five root winds, the nature of the five branch winds, the manner of arising and causing. First: Initially relying on consciousness, the life wind has the form of A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A), which is the nature of the space element. The downward-clearing wind is the earth element, the letter Lri (Tibetan: ལྀ, Devanagari: लृ, Romanized Sanskrit: lri, literal Chinese meaning: Lri). The upward-moving wind is the fire element, which is the letter Ri (Tibetan: རྀ, Devanagari: ऋ, Romanized Sanskrit: ri, literal Chinese meaning: Ri). The fire-equalizing wind is said to be the wind element, called the letter I (Tibetan: ཨི, Devanagari: इ, Romanized Sanskrit: i, literal Chinese meaning: I). The pervasive wind is water, transforming into U (Tibetan: ཨུ, Devanagari: उ, Romanized Sanskrit: u, literal Chinese meaning: U). It is said that when this vajra body is formed, initially in the center of the white and red, relying on the consciousness that becomes the basis, from the movement of the mind of formation, arises what is called the great life wind. It is the basis of the body, consciousness, and warmth of sentient beings, and it is established as what is known as the life wind. Among the five letters, it has the form of a short A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, literal Chinese meaning: A). Among the five elements, it is the nature of the space element. Emanating from that, the downward-clearing wind is the earth element among the five elements, and among the five letters, it has the form of the letter Lri (Tibetan: ལྀ, Devanagari: लृ, Romanized Sanskrit: lri, literal Chinese meaning: Lri). The upward-moving wind is the fire element among the five elements, and among the five letters, it has the form of the letter Ri (Tibetan: རྀ, Devanagari: ऋ, Romanized Sanskrit: ri, literal Chinese meaning: Ri). The wind that dwells equally with fire is the wind element among the five elements, and among the five letters, it is called the letter I (Tibetan: ཨི, Devanagari: इ, Romanized Sanskrit: i, literal Chinese meaning: I). The pervasive wind is the water element among the five elements, and among the five letters, it transforms into the letter U (Tibetan: ཨུ, Devanagari: उ, Romanized Sanskrit: u, literal Chinese meaning: U). The reason for establishing it in this way is that the great life wind, which is the root of all, is the nature of the five great empty letters, and the others are the meaning emanating from its qualities. Second, the nature of the five branch winds. Then the five branch winds are: The Naga is born of earth, space is Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, literal Chinese meaning: A). The Turtle is wind, said to be E (Tibetan: ཨེ, Devanagari: ए, Romanized Sanskrit: e, literal Chinese meaning: E). The Frog is fire, truly Ār (Tibetan: ཨཱར, Devanagari: आर्, Romanized Sanskrit: ār, literal Chinese meaning: Ar). Devas is the water element, transforming into O (Tibetan: ཨོ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: o, literal Chinese meaning: O). Āl is the earth element, victorious through wealth. It is said. Then the elements and nature of the five branch winds are: The Naga wind is born of the earth element, therefore it is the nature of wisdom. Therefore, the letter of space is long Ā (Tibetan: ཨཱ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, literal Chinese meaning: A). The Turtle wind is the wind element, transforming into the letter E (Tibetan: ཨེ, Devanagari: ए, Romanized Sanskrit: e, literal Chinese meaning: E). The Frog wind is the fire element, truly the letter Ār (Tibetan: ཨཱར, Devanagari: आर्, Romanized Sanskrit: ār, literal Chinese meaning: Ar). The Devas wind is the water element, transforming into the letter O (Tibetan: ཨོ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: o, literal Chinese meaning: O). The Victorious Wealth wind is the earth element, having the form of the letter Āl (Tibetan: ཨཱལ, Devanagari: आल्, Romanized Sanskrit: āl, literal Chinese meaning: Al). Third, the manner of arising and gathering has two aspects: the actual and, that combined with the scripture collected from all wisdom vajras.
