Thus, it causes it to descend. Those faculties also arise from the wind that flows within those channels, and from the bindu that arises together with it. Because it destroys the maras, it is free from maras, and from the center of the heart, one end pierces the center of the uvula, causing the white essence to descend upwards; the other end pervades all the upper and lower parts of the body, and with one function, it causes tactile sensations to descend. Here, when explaining the five hidden channels, it is said that the five hidden channels in the center of the heart of the body are truly present. The place where the great life wind flows is the upper end of the Avadhuti. Apart from that, the places where the other four root winds flow are the lower end of the Avadhuti, which is the place of the downward-clearing wind, the tongue of the elephant, which is the place of the upward-moving wind, the yellow color, which is the place of the pervasive wind, and the nasal channels, which are the place of the fire-accompanying wind. Here, there are many ways of identifying and explaining the hidden channels, but in the presence of the all-knowing Seventh, according to the words of the Lord Tathagata, only the five channels through which the five root winds flow are the five hidden channels. The meaning of "hidden" is that it is hidden in both bliss and joy, and it is revealed in the Kalachakra. It is explained as hidden from the perspective of both action and concealment. Although it is said in the Kalachakra that there are thirty-seven main channels, because the identification of these five channel petals through which the root winds flow is not clearly made, it is also taught in a hidden way in the Kalachakra, because the hidden five channels appear in many commentaries on the Kalachakra. Here, from the three circles to the place where the root winds flow, the ten channel petals are all added together, and it is said that they are the five hidden channels. This is a chapter division in an unclear way, and the differences and so on mentioned below have a deeper meaning. Thus, the Sakya school's commentary on the praise of selflessness and the views of monasteries such as Gyalwa Yang Gonpa are consistent. Dagpo Rampa said that placing the support of the limbs as the hidden channel is established from the perspective of qualities; placing the support of the five root winds as the hidden channel is established from the perspective of the five elements. Je Konchok Yenlak said that the meaning of teaching the ten channels connected to the central channel as the hidden channel refers to the indestructible luminosity of the heart...

We begin with objects such as form, and at the time of the path, we bind the functions of these, becoming the root of the manifestation of the ten signs, hence it is hidden, like the hiding of seeds or treasures. Although there are ten, they are established as five, like saying that a tree has seven leaves. Such words are in accordance with the views of Tsurphu Jamyang Khyenpo and others. Fourth, explaining the chakra of the channels, there are two parts: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation. The first is: "Then the four and six chakras, and the eighteen, etc., are the distinctions." Thus it is said, after explaining the main channels, then the channels of the chakras will be explained. That is, the navel, heart, and throat are the four common chakras. Adding the secret and crown chakras on top of that makes six. Adding the twelve major branch chakras makes eighteen. "Etc." refers to the sixty minor branch chakras. Therefore, the distinctions of the channel chakras, as explained in the tantras and commentaries, will be explained below. Here, the meaning of the term "channel chakra" is that the shape of the channel petals is like a wheel, or because the key points are bound and the key points are struck, cutting off the confusion of the four states. Because the wheel cuts off opposing factors and the function is the same, it is called a wheel. The second part has three sections: explaining the four fundamental chakras, explaining the six chakras, and explaining the branch chakras. The first part has five sections: explanation of the navel chakra, heart chakra, throat chakra, crown chakra, and the collection of common meanings. The first part has two sections: a general explanation, and concluding by combining the names of the channel petals with the scriptural authority of the Vajra Garland. The first is: "The navel is the Nirmāṇakāya chakra, on the four channels arising from the central channel, twelve movements proceed in order, divided into five groups of sixty, the right and left channels rely on movement, the four are the movements of the central channel." Thus it is said, located at the navel of the body, generating the body and being the Nirmāṇakāya, the shape of the channels is like a wheel, or by striking the key points on those channels, the state of awakening manifests the intention of the Nirmāṇakāya, and the opposing factors to be abandoned are subdued, hence it is a wheel, that is, on the four realms of emptiness and wisdom of the channel petals arising from the central channel, the twelve great movements divided into three groups proceed in order, the ten channels
