Understanding the nature of the twelve links of dependent origination, with the cessation of ignorance, actions also cease, and so on, which is the arising in order. And with the absence of aging and death, there is no birth, and so on, which is the cessation in reverse order. From this, all the phenomena of nirvana become apparent. The second (part) has three: commonly explaining how existence arises, the differences in the perception of the three realms, and explaining the cause and effect of the three realms in combination. The first (part) is: Craving and grasping are connected, existence arises. This is one line. Among the twelve links of dependent origination, how does the cycle of confusion in the three realms arise? According to the intent of the commentary: Ignorance, action, consciousness, name and form, the six sense sources, contact, and feeling, craving and grasping are connected, existence arises, birth and change lead to aging and death. It should be supplemented and explained completely, that is, ignorance, which is the delusion about one's own object and the creation of actions, and the virtuous and non-virtuous actions caused by it, the afflicted actions that produce rebirth, and the alaya consciousness that is influenced by its habitual tendencies. These three are called the three propelling limbs. From this, the name and form, which are the basis of the new existence immediately after its formation, or which are included in the form aggregate, and from this, the six sense organs that arise, and from this, the contact that fully apprehends the object by the aggregation of the three, and from this, the experience of pleasant and unpleasant feelings, whether they have arisen or not, these four are called the four limbs that are propelled. In this way, craving, which is attachment to the object without separation, and grasping, which desires to obtain the object of attachment and strives to achieve it, wanting to seek the cause of feeling, and by the connection of these two, existence, which is the powerful action that produces rebirth, these three are called the three accomplishing limbs. Thus, the birth that is connected to the continuum of the new existence immediately after it is accomplished by the propelling and accomplishing, and the aging and death of its aggregates that are constantly changing and decaying, these two are called the accomplished limbs. In short, the actions of accumulating actions by ignorance are placed on the alaya, and from this, consciousness to feeling arise, and from this, birth in general arises from craving, and specifically from grasping, and thus the existence of samsara arises. The second is: Formless

The desire realm, the form realm. Gradually taking signs in objects, small, medium, and large. It is said. Such existence is encompassed by the three realms, so the differences between its existence and consciousness are sequentially combined and explained. The four existences of the formless realm are those that take signs in objects as small, because the appearance and obstruction of the desire and form realms are blocked. The sixteen existences of the form realm are those that take signs in objects as medium, because they are free from desire for the desire realm and have form appearances generated by the power of the samadhi of the four dhyanas. The eleven existences of the desire realm are those that are associated with taking signs in objects as large, because they are attached to the qualities of desire and are associated with all thoughts. All three are with taking and abandoning thoughts, virtuous and non-virtuous, and unstated. From the causes of the three actions are happiness, suffering, and equanimity. The result is a birth with defilements. It is said. All three realms, because they do not realize the true nature of their own minds, cling to pleasant objects as things to be taken. When they see unpleasant objects, they generate aversion and hatred towards them. In the intermediate state, the three actions generated by non-any thoughts, that is, the virtuous actions that are worthy of being taken by the noble ones and become meritorious actions, the non-virtuous actions that are worthy of being abandoned by the noble ones and become non-meritorious actions, and the three types of equanimity actions that cannot be stated in either of the two and become immovable actions, should be known as the actions of birth in the three realms. From that cause, all three realms arise. From the three small, medium, and large meritorious actions, happiness arises in the basis of the three heavens of the desire realm. From the three small, medium, and large non-meritorious actions, suffering arises in the basis of the three lower realms. From the immovable actions, the result is the generation of the samadhi result of equanimity and samadhi associated with the basis of the form and formless realms. All those results are defiled, because they are aggregates arising from the power of karma and afflictions. The third is, mind
