Rules! First, there are five: summarizing the general meaning, connecting with each of the three baskets, the necessity of knowing these, both common and distinct, summarizing the nature of the fruit, and from where this is obtained! The first is: The Victorious One, in all the tantras, external common appearances and, internal channels, winds, and bindus and, other conceptualized deities and mantras, defiled thoughts and, undefiled wisdom, two kinds, all ultimate and conventional and, with and without elaboration, are spoken of. Thus it is said. The Victorious, perfectly complete Buddha, in all four sets of tantras, although there is nothing other than mind, externally, the external realms and aggregates, elements, and sources that appear to the consciousness that seems common, and in the Vajrayana, the channels, winds, and bindus of the inner Vajra body, and all the deities and mantras of the generation stage that are conceptualized by others, with defiled thoughts, as long as there is defilement, are the objects to be purified, and when the undefiled knowledge of how it is and how many it is transformed into two kinds, it is said to be the fruit. All of that also relies on the conventional truth, with elaborations such as names, words, and letters, and relies on the ultimate truth, without the elaboration of grasping and being grasped, it is said to be the nature of that very thing. Thus, although all dharmas do not go beyond the union of the two truths, in order to make it easier for sentient beings with discriminating minds to understand, all dharmas from form to omniscience have three: name, sign, and basis, and each of them is divided into three, etc., which are said in immeasurable ways. In the Ornament, it is said: For the sake of benefiting sentient beings, the Buddhas, name, basis, and nature, the distinctions of self are well proclaimed. Thus it is said. Second, there are three: connecting with the Abhidharma, Sutra, and Vinaya. First, there are three: the external and, the internal Abhidharma, that explanation connected with metaphor and meaning, meaning summary, etc. The first is: Externally, there is no other maker, dependent arising, self-appearance, the non-associated formations corresponding to thoughts, container and contents, subtle and coarse, names and words and, letters, directions, times, etc., what is said is the external Abhidharma. Thus it is said.

In order to correct those who fall into different views among sentient beings, in the Vehicle of Characteristics, it is taught that this phenomenon appearing as various realms of the world externally has no creator such as self and Brahma, and that the appearance of dependent origination is merely an appearance of one's own mind. Although it is not established externally, it is imputed by conceptualization, including non-possessive formations, i.e., the container world that is the support, and the contents that are supported, subtle things such as moments and atoms, and coarse things such as streams of consciousness and Mount Meru, and names such as "vase," and statements such as "vase is permanent," and the basis of these two, letters such as A, and directions such as East, and times such as past, and enemies to be abandoned such as la, and mind and mental factors, etc., which are extensively taught in the sutras, these are the outer aspects of the Dharma of the Perfection of Wisdom beyond the Vajrayana, for example, as taught in the Compendium of Topics and the Treasury of Knowledge. The second is: As outside, so inside it dwells, channels and body shapes like the world, wind generates speech, time, and letters, bindu, planets, stars, sun, and moon, rivers, fire, etc., are definitely shown. As it is said, just as it was said in the case of external manifestation, so it dwells within the Vajra body, which is the manifestation of the inner meaning of mantra. In the unsurpassed tantras, the channels and body shapes, etc., of the inner Vajra body are correlated with the mountains, oceans, and continents of the world, and the inner wind generates speech, the measure of time, and letters, etc., and the bindu is said to be planets, stars, sun, and moon, etc., and the moist element is said to be rivers, and the warm element is said to be fire, etc., as the determination of outer and inner, as shown when applied internally, these are the inner manifestations. The third is: Just as closing the eyes does not see form, opening them makes it appear, squeezing them makes you see two moons, not knowing the key points of the support, you do not see the empowering wisdom, seeing the bondage of the support, you see the wisdom of the path, although there is no external object, other objects appear, showing the gods and mandalas of complete imputation, therefore it is the manifestation of inner meaning. As it is said, for example, closing the eyes
