In the Sutra of Repentance of Ajatasatru, it is also explained that those who have committed the five inexpiable sins can attain Arhatship. A person's warmth is not held by a person; only I or someone like me can hold a person's warmth. This is because (the Buddha) repeatedly said so. Furthermore, because of the great need, the protector deities of the teachings also make prophecies. For example, a deity of the Pure Abode appeared in a dream to the caravan leader, the Great Compassionate One, saying: "There is a robber here who will kill all of you. These five hundred merchants are all bodhisattvas who have attained the state of non-retrogression. If he kills them, they will temporarily regress. And this person will have to be reborn in Avici hell for countless eons for each of them. Therefore, think of a way that will benefit both of you." Also, it is like Lhalung Peldor being urged by the Lhasa protector deity Ma Gon to overthrow the king. The thought is: Knowing that the other person is malicious and also knowing that you have the ability to stop them, but wanting to let them go unpunished, and even wanting to protect or favor them, this is clinging to worldly love and friendship from the bottom of one's heart. The actual deed is: Because of friendship, not punishing them when you have the ability to punish them itself constitutes the actual deed in effect. But because this matter is very important, temporarily knowing but deliberately showing kindness and affection is actually the same as siding with the enemy, let alone not treating the other person as an enemy. In the Kalachakra it says: "Heretics often have inconsistent thoughts and words. In order to subdue them, hypocrisy is called deceptive love." This is a different manifestation made because of necessity. The commentary says: "Speaking one thing with the mouth and thinking another in the heart, this hypocritical love is the tenth kind of partiality." Some people think that being gentle in speech to a holy person in the area while hating them in the heart is hypocritical love or malicious love. Therefore, some explain that there are two kinds of love for malicious people, namely love and malicious love. The time is: the time of making friendly and loving actions, and the time when one has the ability to punish but does not punish because of friendship. Some people think that the "area" here should be understood as the place that that person and others love, but that is not the case. For example, around a malicious king, a yogi...

Like a yogi possessing the power of knowledge-mantras, if he remains hidden and unknown to others, and he knows that a malicious king harms the teachings and cannot avoid falling into lower realms in this life, but merely out of temporary compassion for life, or slightly thinking that this does not concern him, does not use the power of knowledge-mantras to liberate, then it is certain that he will commit a root downfall. This is because the king and others do not understand his compassion. The way of falling into downfall is the same. In the extensive commentary, it says: If one does not liberate with equanimity, it is a gross offense; if one cannot do it temporarily, but intends to remedy it later, it is a minor offense. In general, if one abandons the Dharma's compassion towards a malicious person, one will commit the fourth root downfall; if one shows compassion through body and speech, one will commit the downfall here. The situations where there is no downfall are: if one does not have the ability to liberate oneself; if one does not treat him with friendliness and compassion, he will even more seriously harm the teachings and sentient beings; or if one sees the need to benefit many other sentient beings, etc., there is no fault in acting with friendliness and compassion through body and speech. In short, if one can prevent it with peaceful means such as wealth, Dharma, and service, one must strive to prevent it; if others have the ability, one should request them to prevent it. If it is certain that one cannot prevent it, one should show terror with the power of knowledge-mantras; if that does not work, one should strive to actually subdue him by any means. Just as a limb bitten by a poisonous snake cannot survive if it is not cut off, for that malicious person, there is no other better way to turn him away from the lower realms. The nature of subduing is: destroying the life of the body, controlling the consciousness, and instantly transferring it to a place free from obscurations. Among the great causes of yoga such as the secret jewel bindu, etc., just as glorious Vajrapani merely stepped on the great god Maheshvara, causing him to experience unprecedented bliss, and subdued him with the mantra and mudra of subduing, and threw him somewhere, instantly, the world below was covered with ashes, and he became enlightened there as the Tathagata Lord of Ashes. Then, Vairochana again killed him, saying, 'What are you doing? Revive him!' Just by performing the mantra and mudra of revival, he became enlightened as the Tathagata Lord of Ashes.
