Having fully and perfectly awakened. Manjushri, you should also understand through that method that in my Buddha-field, there is no separate establishment of the Hearer and Solitary Realizer vehicles. Why is that? Because there is no concept of difference. Manjushri, if the Thus-Gone One teaches the Great Vehicle to some beings, the Solitary Realizer Vehicle to some, and the Hearer Vehicle to some, then the Thus-Gone One would become impure in mind, would become unequal in mind and manifest attachment, would possess narrow compassion, would fall into the fault of various concepts, and the Thus-Gone One would become an example of a teacher concealing the Dharma. Manjushri, whatever Dharma the Thus-Gone One teaches, all those Dharmas are inclined towards the Great Vehicle, flow into the Great Vehicle, enter the Great Vehicle, are for accomplishing the all-knowing wisdom, are for attaining the all-knowing wisdom, and are entered into for the sake of attaining the all-knowing wisdom. Therefore, in this Buddha-field, there is no separate establishment of vehicles. Thus it is said, and it is also extensively explained in the Lotus Sutra and the Play of Miracles Sutra. From this very Great Vehicle, all immeasurable and countless vehicles arise, and all of them are of the same nature as this very vehicle. As it is said in the Great Liberation Extensive Sutra: This vehicle is the Great Vehicle, The inconceivable vehicle. Like unto the sky, It awakens all sentient beings. Among all vehicles, There is none that transcends this vehicle. From within this Great Vehicle, Various kinds of vehicles arise. If there were a measurable number, Then it would not be possible to liberate all. Thus it is said. The three vehicles are also merely the different stages of a single individual entering in sequence. As it is said in that sutra: Sons of good family, just as a person has three names, in childhood he is called a child, from twenty years he is called a man, and from eighty years he is called an old man, these three vehicles are also the same. Thus it is said. Therefore, the Dharma nature of the Buddha Vehicle is one.

It is only due to the individual inclinations of the beings to be tamed that various vehicles and various tenets appear, but for the nature of the Dharma, there is no difference, superiority, inferiority, rise, fall, and various objects. There is no time when the wheel of Dharma is not turned, and there is no time when the Dharma is spoken with consciousness, that is, with words, terms, and the discernment of sounds. This is the uncommon and extremely inconceivable Dharma of the Tathagatas, which is not the realm of activity of childish wisdom. Therefore, in the Sutra of Condensed Arrangement, it is said: "Manjushri, I have taught as many Dharma doors as there are sands in the Ganges River in an inconceivable way." And so on, from attachment and emptiness, non-emptiness, sentient beings and non-sentient beings, characteristics and non-characteristics, etc., to the three poisons individually and the abandonment of them, etc., each Dharma door is taught as many as the sands of the Ganges River. And it is said that all of these are unified in the Prajnaparamita in the form of impermanence. If one makes distinctions of good and bad in the Buddha's words, and clings to and slanders what is Dharma and not Dharma, and that this is the Dharma of the Shravakas, then all of these are abandoning the Dharma. If one abandons the Dharma, even if one confesses from the depths of one's heart three times a day without interruption for seven years, it will take ten kalpas to obtain forgiveness at the very least. Therefore, disparaging the tenets of oneself and others is a serious offense because it obstructs the cause of liberation for oneself and others. For practitioners of mantra, this is the sixth root downfall. The object is the tenets of internal and external paths. Some say it is the white Dharma of internal and external paths, but if that is the case, it is necessary to examine what the white Dharma itself is, which would become limitless. Moreover, the tenets are not covered by the white Dharma, and except for the parts that are common to Buddhism, such as non-harming and speaking the truth of the heretics, it is thought that disparaging others is not a root downfall, so there is a prohibition against applying it to slander, so the tenets spoken by the tantras and the great scholar Hero are the best. The Great Commentary says: "The tenets are the Prajnaparamita and the chapter on the reality of mantra." What is said is the object to be tamed.
