When reaching the root of the rosary, it is necessary to pull it back again, otherwise it is said that there is a fault of 'crossing over' the knot. But this is just a saying that does not understand the true meaning of tantra. If that were the case, the main purpose of body recitation is to transform and control by placing the deity in samaya. And this method of pulling back mainly prevents control. Saying things like 'Making the thumb into an iron hook, all deities except the Buddha can be summoned' sounds like starting an argument. Although that is the case, it is also said that 'the number of beads is Arhat,' which is completely not understanding the purity of the beads. Because the beads can be 'crossed over,' but the root of the beads cannot be 'crossed over,' there is a difference. Generally speaking, touching with the hand will 'cross over,' which has never been heard of in this Jambudvipa before, so it is necessary to investigate where else and in whose doctrine this saying exists. If wiping a golden statue with the hand is considered 'crossing over' the golden statue, then the situation of wiping may not even occur sometimes. If you think so, then all the statements about the merits of clearing dust from stupas and pulling grass, etc., must be deleted. Saying 'Making the thumb into an iron hook,' etc., is also something that has not been heard of before or is uncertain. Directly recognizing with an iron hook, thinking that inviting with an iron hook will 'cross over,' then inviting with light is light 'crossing over'; inviting with a messenger is the messenger 'crossing over,' which has no meaning at all. For those who want liberation, giving verbal fatigue, such doubts and investigations will become more and more common in the future, which is nothing but the power of demons. Therefore, the Four Seats Tantra says: 'A rosary that does not know this truth is like a necklace for women.' This means that the tantric guru instructs the disciples to understand the true meaning of the rosary and hides it as a purpose for recitation. But nowadays, even if not a single syllable of a mantra is recited, if there is no rosary in hand, one cannot be considered a monk. So, holding an unblessed, shiny rosary, engaging in false debates and meaningless talk, and during the posadha (梵文,poṣadha,Romanization: posadha, 汉语字面意思:增长) of the ordained, saying that one cannot wear a rosary, so taking it off and placing it next to a short knife, etc. These actions, whether from the perspective of Vinaya or Tantra, are only some partial aspects.

It seems that those who do not understand arise from the eyes looking back and forth at each other. Regarding verbal recitation, what is recited is mantra. In scriptures and oral instructions, from the perspective of those with extremely sharp faculties, it is said that the deity, practice, and activity are practiced simultaneously and without distinction. Therefore, it is said that only the activity mantras that summon the four classes of Dakinis are recited. Nowadays, beginners need to practice in stages, so initially, during the deity practice, only the heart mantra of the main deity is recited. Later, during the practice and activity phases, the secret mantras from the scriptures themselves are recited. With what is it recited? With the mouth, that is, the effort of the tongue, palate, lips, and teeth, etc., touching, separating, and closing, and the movement of breath. How is it recited? With the nature of sound, to subdue demons and the like, it is recited fiercely and bravely like the roar of a dragon. Generally, it is recited in a whisper so that companions cannot hear, and when inner samadhi is the main focus, it is recited only with the tip of the tongue moving. All of this should be recited with one-pointed mind, with the mantra clear and distinct. Some phonologists think that if the mantra is recited correctly, merely reciting it will accomplish all purposes, and if it is not correct, even reciting it for countless eons will be of no benefit. But that is not the case, what you consider to be the correct mantra is merely considered in terms of Sanskrit. Not all mantras are in Sanskrit, most Mother Tantras say that they exist in distorted languages and the barbarian languages of yoginis, etc. The original forms of mantras mostly exist only in the language of the flying beings, which is why Sanskrit scholars cannot judge whether they are correct or not. Even in the language of the flying beings, there are many unique words of the secret mantras of the Buddhas that are not included. The Lamp Clarification says: "Sounds such as ko ṭā khyad (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), these are not explained in other treatises." Nevertheless, even if one is not skilled in reciting mantras correctly, there are many instances where the power of mantras is accomplished. Although there are scholars who are skilled in reciting mantras correctly, but have no power at all, they are prevalent throughout Tibet, so the most important thing is to strive diligently with one-pointed intention. Therefore, this heart mantra is in the manner of Sanskrit...
